As much as Im looking forward to this game, there is one thing that bother me about it.

Two-player co-op? But resistance 2 had 8-player co-op. What is the meaning of this downgrade? Explain yourself, insomniac!
8 player co-op on the same three mission maps with nothing to do with the storyline--unless you read the intel you got--but no co-op campaign. I think a lot of fans of the first game were upset about that. I was at least. So they're changing it back to, in my opinion, what it should be. Very exciting for me.

So Hale is really dead, huh? I still have trouble accepting that. Probably because I've never heard of a series that kills off its star character before the series is done. Granted, Hale wasn't the best character ever, but at least he's not a wall of meat with an attitude like Capelli. I don't really care for the guy. I'm interested to know who the man walking with the axe is. It's not Capelli, as this man has a full head of hair. Also, I though the Russian science guy killed himself. That's what the intel suggests in Resistance 2. So many questions...hurry Resistance 3. Hurry.

Can we have the lore back from Resistance 1 please. R2 was missing that in a big way.

I liked seeing the genesis of the chimera, it was something... different. R2 went generic compared to R1

I love the Resistance Series. I HATE split real world / CG in game cinematics or advertisements.

It is just about the tackiest thing I can imagine and makes the game look and feel trashy, as if the animators couldn't fit the scenes into the budget so third rate actors had to be brought in to Macgyver together what the animators left out.

looks better than i expected. sort of "old timey" kind a way, like the 1st one. i hope they keep that style going.

Cant wait for this.

I was a bit disappointed with R2 becoming like COD, but the sequel looks promising.

Gonna say this so those who want to know will know.

1. No more regenerating health
2. Weapon wheel is back
3. Person who killed protagonist in the 2nd one is this times protagonist
4. Co-Op will be there and the story will be included including back story for the co-op person
5. Better AI who can climb all walls jump over them etc and dont have the stupid detection from the second one but cant shoot u from across the map
6. I forgot what else i read in game informer
7.????

Resistance 3 will add two-player co-op to the game's campaign in both online and offline split-screen modes. Insomniac says it's planning a "progression-based" multiplayer mode too, so series fans have a lot to look forward to when Resistance 3 comes out on September 6, 2011.
The lack of co-op campaign was the reason I never finished the second game, so: YAY!

I've heard they also brought back the weapon wheel.

Which makes me very happy.
Sweet! Resistance 2 just felt like any other generic shooter, where as the first game felt like a generic shooter anno 1997 :p

I don't know if anyone else agrees, but get very distinct District 9 vibe from the ingame footage.
Huh? Where'd you get that from?

That implies that the third instalment takes place
on the current homeplanet of the Chimera, which is where they ended up and Hale finally going full Chimera.
And judging by the ingame footage that is not the case. I find that rather disappointing.
