Resistance 3 Posibilitis

I know that a thread has already been established earlier today about the announcement trailer for Resistance 3, and i know there is a trailer for it (If you haven't gotten the hint, check out the trailer). This thread has been established to start guessing what the storyline might be thanks to the trailer. We all know it's based in New York, at least largely, but that's about it. I'm guessing that this game happens in between events of the first two levels in Resistance 2. It might be about survivors of the first Chimera attack in North America, New York City, and how they are trying to escape the city, possibly through the subways. Nevertheless, the storyline is still up for debate. Please post whatever you think about the trailer and it correlation to the game's storyline. You may also post about what you thought f the series so far and how they should execute this installment.

But from the looks of the trailer, it looks like you'll be working more as an underground Guerilla group than an organized military force, which I'm a bit hesitant about since I'm not sure how they can tie that into the story, but maybe they'll just make it so you meet up with the military along the way or something.

The only thing I'm guessing about in regards to the trailer is that they are bringing co-op campaign back. They had a lot of people fighting on the train car there, so I'm hoping that was a hint.

I want three questions answered in this game though:

What happens to Hale, the girl he's in love with (forgot her name, read the book), and Rachel from the first game? I know Hale "dies" at the end, but still...

What happened to Hawaii? If you read the intel notes from co-op, it says Hawaii and the entire fleet patrolling it just vanished one day. I'm betting it has something to do with how that broken planet appeared at the end of 2. Perhaps Hawaii simply got jumped before the rest of Earth. Which leads me to my third point...

What is that broken planet at the end? I know the Chimera were saying they want to take the war back to...whatever it was they were fighting, but we're left with no answers. And that planet is missing from the trailer. I would think it'd be taking up the entire sky by now.
