Meh.

I played City a few months ago, and while the graphics are indeed prettier, they aren't that much better. Maybe the difference is larger for Asylum. To me, they just look like they loaded the PC textures and increased the lighting and particle effects in that fake looking, "remaster" kind of way.

If they upgrade the combat, maybe I will get it. City felt incredibly slow compared to Knight.

Feels like a big deal over what is basically a remaster. I mean, the classy thing to do would be to focus on fixing Knight's broken PC port before you go re-releasing the other games.

Yep.

If they had any balls, they'd go back and do the port properly.

I noticed some people saying, oh it was PS4 and Xbone specific too far for them to convert it properly.

I doubt that very much, especially XBone as it's essentially an underpowered PC with little to none specialist hardware apart from the GPU, and even that was using DX extensions to function.

So yeah, fix your crap RSteady.

Is this a joke? Are they laughing at us? I just played these games a couple of weeks ago. They're fine, haven't dated a bit. They're barely a handful of years old, for fuck's sake. Meanwhile Knight is an utterly broken mess on PC and instead of fixing that they give us this crap.

Meh, might be interested in revisited AA but its not been long enough to justify it, should of waited another Gen before doing this

Pretty much this. Nothing against it, just seems a bit pointless currently.

Didn't you hear? They officially said "We Give Up" after their last big fix-it patch completely failed to fix Arkham Knight back last fall. Everyone on PC was offered full refunds, but they did indeed say "Fuck it, we're not trying to fix this shit anymore."

Jesus, the games aren't even that old and they're already pushing the remaster treatment? It's not like the Arkham games are hard to find; just go to your nearest thrift store, bargain bin or online retailer and snag a cheap copy. A barely noticeable facelift and a few previously exclusive skins aren't enough to justify a re-purchase at full price.

I love the fact they're ignoring half of the games in that series and yet are making seem like the most successful franchise of all time.

Oh I know. It just feels gauche that barely a year after the release of Arkham Knight, they're already trying to bury the controversy by going "hey, remember the two unambiguously good ones? You can buy them again!"

Okay, but I still own both of them on my pc. Why would they need a remastered versions? They still look good to me and I think I only encountered one big bug in Arkham City.

The trailer says "best superhero games of all time", which is a perfectly valid claim. And yes, the remastering feels rushed.

I've put well over 200 hours into city and I did 100% asylum as well, and those graphical updates don't really seem enough to merit buying the games again (especially as a pc user).

The only thing that would tempt me, though, would be a pc release so I could finally use the ps3 exclusive joker in challenge maps and such.

Still, though, wish they'd fricking fix arkham knight. I have yet to play it because I don't know if it'll run on my machine (plus I'm waiting for the goty edition with all dlc).
