So, since I don't think we've had enough completely random threads around here recently, I'm going to give you one.

If gravity reversed right now (i.e. the Earth started to force everything away from it), how would you fare? Also, can you imagine the worst possible situation to be in when it happened?

So... is anyone sitting on a box of heavy weights? Anyone outside? Or are you already sitting upside down on the ceiling? Tell me!

EDIT: Imagine being on a lake when it happened...

I'd end up lying against the underside of my bed. If the bed managed to stay within the confines of the room, and the room managed to stay in one piece.
At least I'd have a lot of books near me to read, and I could stay on my PC...

Well if that was the case I would be hitting my head on the roof of my high bed right now!

Also, yes we do need more random and funny threads. Makes me jealous of the people who spend all their time in the Forum Games/RP since Off topic and gaming is going through the same things... Over and over again!

Calumon: Then, uhh... I'll be playing upside down?

Worst possible situation would probably involve sunbathing somewhere with a lot of painful stuff on the floor.

Right now, I'm on my chair, in my room, so at least I'd hit the ceiling...

I would summarily bump my nogin and hope that my desk would not mush my laptop into the roof (floor?).

My computer desk is pretty heavy (ridiculously so, even), but if I managed to avoid getting injured by that, i'd have a fun time walking around on the roof. If it hasn't caved in from being struck by all the heavy furniture around my room, that is.

Exactly how intense is this force? Are we talking 'zero' gravity where we float to the roof gently, or the equal force of gravity as it is, but reversed? Because then i'd be falling 3 metres and landing on my head. Which would likely kill me. And there is little discussion value in that, i'm sorry to say.

I am in my house and it has no ceiling fans, but I would find it difficult to open my door since the knob will be one, maybe two yards away from where I would stand on my ceiling.

Well, I'd probably end up bumping against the roof of the house, and from there I could navigate to a physics textbook and subsequently invoke a perceptive truth to revert gravity to its normal state (or alternately, completely destroy the planet).

I would float to my ceiling and be very pissed and confused oh and toilet water would start floating everywhere, gross.

I'd bash my head on the ceiling, get bonked in the head by my keyboard and have fish fingers hitting me in the face.

Wouldn't drift off into space though. That's good to know.

Bits of the roof might dig into my side a little, but I'd be fine.
Then again:
force everything away from it
That would mean my house would be forced away too, and that would be bad.
So worse case scenario, we all die.

As long as I wasn't in a porta potty I'm sure I'd be fine. Might have a light bulb lodged in my anus but at least I wouldn't be in a porta potty.

Oh, and another thing:

You wouldn't be able to reach any power sockets from the ceiling D:

I'd probably get trapped between my cieling and bed.

It's really more of a cot, though, so I'm pretty sure I could get free.

I think I'm in good shape.

Hit my head on the roof, then have all the random shit laying on my floor rise up to smack me.

Wait, are you lying under your bed with a laptop? 0.o

OT: I'd probably break my legs on the desk, then get crushed into the ceiling by my chair.
Well, this is a fun topic....

I would be more worried aabout all the oxygen floating off into space to be honest.
