I can see why the duelling can be annoying, but honestly you get the hang of it pretty quickly as the game progresses. I found that your opponent will almost always take 3 steps (sometimes 4) before drawing, and the music will sometimes hint at when they're about to draw (it'll go quiet just before the bell tolls - but not every time).

One of the things that I really liked about the game was that, despite having at least one cpu controlled ally accompanying you for most of the game, I found that they never get in the way, never need babysitting and will kill a few enemies but never so many that it feels like they're taking away your fun. There are too many games where allied cpu's are a major hinderance.

Thank you Stranger, i was afraid nobody was going to point that out. Painting targets, quick draw (time?). To paraphrase Chris Rock in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back; I think Rockstar is gonna sue somebody!

A very fine game, IMO. Its plot and its politics are in the stone age and the duels are rubbish, but other than that it's great. The dual-path structure makes for replay value, the vistas are often beautiful, and the gameplay is simple and compulsive.

Definitely a good game. Good story. Good voice acting. Hope there's a third one.

Strangely enough, no mention of the multiplayer...I haven't played that aspect of it yet, though.

I have to say that I love this game on the PS3, and the online play is great in my opinion.

It seems like a solid game, and I'll most likely get it once it drops in price.

But as mentioned above, the concentration mode and duels don't seem very original when compared to Red Dead Revolver.

Played the first one and thought it was pretty good but for some reason I never actually finished it, I think I got distracted by another title released just after.

Might be a good idea to pick this up to break up Fight Night Round 4 and Battlefield 1943 a bit.
