You see, I've heard so many people saying "this is the first great FPS on the Wii!"

What about Metroid Prime 3? That game (though not as good as the first, IMO) is one of the best on the Wii and an amazing experience. The controls for it were nearly perfect, the music was amazing (as per usual with the Prime series) and the level design and look of everything was absolutely fantastic. Do people always overlook the thing, or do they just not count it as a normal FPS?
For some reason Metroid Prime 3 didn't appeal to me. I bought it, but I never got into it. Which is odd, as I played both of the other Metroid Prime games and enjoyed them (mostly).

I wish someone would remake Geist for the Wii. Or make a sequel to it. I don't know, as long as it has online multiplayer. Geist's single player sucked but I loved the multiplayer, and it would be awesome with Wii controls. That would create a good multiplayer FPS on the Wii that isn't dwarfed by the FPS games ob the other consoles, something I feel The Conduit suffers from.

How can you think it is a great game if you haven't even played it yet -_-.
The same way I thought Guitar Hero Smash Hits was an awesome game before I played it. It's still an awesome game. :p

My biggest gripe is that online lags BADLY for me. I don't really mean regular network lag, the framerate goes to hell and player movement becomes jumpy, that quickly gets unplayable. Singleplayer is pretty meh so online was supposed to be the main draw here. Online FPSing on my PC runs perfectly for comparison.

If someone's looking for a traditional online FPS for the Wii there's Water Warfare on the WiiWare service, 800 points and runs fine even on my connection and playing against people in Japan. There's some delay to frags registering and weapon pickups but the framerate doesn't suffer and the combat seems perfectly fluid on my connection. The controls aren't massively customizable but setting the view speed to fast (which actually makes the bounding box smaller, not the view faster) works fine without bothering with tons of variables.

I sure hope there will be more attempts at FPSes on the Wii since the system is suitable for it, the audience is there and dual analog is a plain retarded way to handle aiming.

Despite what you've said, I played it round my friends house the other day and enjoyed it more than Gears of War which I actually own. So neh.

I really hated this game because the controls were constantly glitchy and bad. A particular problem I had was that the sight would snap to the top of the screen if I pointed too far to the side. However, after hearing everyone else say how great the controls are I wonder if it's my wii that's the problem. It works fine for metroid prime 3 though, anyone else experienced this?
