I just graduated from high school, ([stupid]no applause please[/stupid]) so i got a mild bit nostalgic and decided to look at my past projects, specifically my free-writing and my drawings or what otherwise could be called doodles, of creatures, inventions, peoples, symbols(Yes i am going "Prince"). What i found were a bunch of poems in different scapes

In my entire high school tenure, my favorite class was English, because my english teachers primarily through the years was this teacher who was the pinnacle of personality, genius, and overall manhood in young age. Now, I know your some of your comments already forming in your head,"Teachers suck!","Your friends with a teacher,NERD!", "Teachers are never cool.". To show you a example of how cool he is, this was his opener;

He looked around the class(very small) and said "This is it? There were more people at the last supper!"

No one got offended, everyone busted out laughing. He knew since we were the last class, we wouldn't be paying attention, watching the clock, yadda-yadda. So what he liked to do was infuse humor, discussion, and opinions into the curriculum. By the end of senior year, we had more classes where we discussed stories with different lights on them. Hell, He liked to listen to Queensryche, Metallica, Megadeth, and Judas Priest, so as a metal head, a Carlin fan, and a person who likes debating iffy topics, and prodding paradoxical paradigms, i was man-crushing hard. He provoked thought and discussion and he was the best teacher I've had to this date.

Seemingly off-topic? No. I told this story to introduce where this idea came from. I just got a e-mail from him, congratulating me on graduating, and that he enjoyed my writing, especially my Hamlet-related stuff(I apparently touched new ground on it, by stating that the queen might be to fault to the death of the entire cast, and that this genius play could also be a lesson in today's society).

So i dipped into my stash of old writings, to give myself a pat on the back, and i got the idea that sharing my work and listening to others works was one of the things i looked forward too, to hear and gently critique, because it gave a insight into the minds of my classmates.

So this is simple, Post up your own projects, videos, writing, pictures, what-have-you, and review others; I will start first.

I have a couple of poems anymore, due to the computer is a space junkie; but I'll post what i got.

-Timeliness-

I am not very complicated,
yet i'm always told "it is fated".
simple i am,this much is true,
but's it's not easy looking for you.

a mystery masked in darkest haze,
for thou so sweet, waiting for days,
weeks,months,years,decades and centuries,
oh wicked time is such a tease.

my words are now in history,
so now i pray your looking for me.
i am a man, honest and wise,
searching for you, through all these lies.

Though i seek, my eyes are not well,
I cannot always see hell's belle.
though i stray, my path is lighted
by the hope we're one day united

I promise you this, if it matters,
no looking glass, or mad hatters,
will discontinue my ceaseless search,
from lowest holes, to highest pearch.

so i swear you this,my sweet muse,
to take you away from these new blues.
We'll run away from this bad trend,
and grow old, watching the world end.

I wrote this when i was heavy in love with someone for 4 years and didn't say a word, last time i heard she was pregnant, which was confirmed at graduation(where i finally got the nerve and was about to tell her, when she showed me the pictures of her daughter,Evelyn. So i decided to bite my tongue, and i don't necessarily regret that decision, yet I'll always wonder.)

-The Sands-

The sands of time move through man or wren,
Yet never ages itself in return.
It has sent a cruel end to kingly men
Yet all of man, woman, and child still yearn.

No human stronger, no beast more vicious
No emperor high enough in his throne.
No act that will redeem the malicious,
All evils you've done eventually shown.

Yet while harsh on all, we all must cherish
The time we get with friends family and life.
We hold memories before we perish
This true treasure is a double-edged knife

Time runs like the sand in the hourglass.
It would be wise not to let your time pass.

I've always been obsessed with the personification of the ageless factors of our lives. I try to draw them, doodling really, in the middle of class, i draw death, pain, love, time, beginning, end, and confusion, just to list a few.

-Justified punishment/Punishing Judgment-

Justice and punishment, the same?
We know what we're doing.
When the hand of thieves line the floor,
is lady justice viewing?

The scales of lady law, tilting wrong,
the fake justice we trust.
A misdemeanor, heads will roll,
is the punishment just?

Who is to say what justice is?
Is it up to the court?
Or is it the citizen?s choice,
who's choice will they support?

What is punishment anyway?
Is it paid with a sentence?
or is it paid with suffering,
a new tax, repentance.

Justice and punishment, The same?
Not an easy question.
is one absolved or convicted?
New food for digestion.

Like I've said before, I like prodding things, things otherwise untouched, philosophy, justice being a big card game i like to play.

Well, that's all i have. It's now time for you to submit your work.

And a few ground rules, don't just say "this sucks", there is a pro and a con to everything.

To quote my Chemistry project copy:
"I hate Schrodinger. I Hate Schrodinger. Why couldn't he have stayed to tortureing cats. I hate Schrodinger".

I also have an English Teacher like the one mentioned but she lets us have a very relaxed class because we are the top class for English.
