It's even worse for me. I need to use my PC for some of my revision material... >_<

Good luck my fellow suffering student. May both of us survive the exams!

EDIT: My friend offered the following advice: Every time you make some small progress, stop, and take a few minutes to just listen to your breathing. Then continue. Don't go on the net, or you will totally lose your train of thought.

I'm in the same position and have barely done any revision this Easter (damn you, Steam, and your low, low prices!). But when I do get around to revising I just read notes I've made. Listening to music makes it more bearable. Also doing past papers helps you get used to the exam styles.

Just out of interest, what exams are you taking/have taken already? GCSEs?

Tons of past papers. That's what I do and I do well in my A-levels (except for in biology, how I hate it...) Do a past paper question and then check the answer, if I'm wrong then I hit the books and learn everything about the question until I can answer the question and any like it perfectly. It annoys the piss outta me that I chose the three main sciences, coz Goddamn they're freaking hard...

What do you play your games on?

Xbox360.

Oh that's an easy problem to get around. Cancel your subscription for Xbox live the month of your exams...
That and self determination.

----------------

Ok firstly if you freak out when you pick up books... you need to get around that.
Make notes during class and look over those. Have practice questions and do them repeatedly. Go to your teacher to give and mark extra papers. Do interactive pieces of revision on the internet failing all else... but... the internet is the same place as youtube is, so you need some discipline for that.

This is what I did throughout my A-levels and my degree: Find the most important points and make posters. Lots and lots of posters and stick them around your room. I found that helped a hell of a lot.

Woop! I totally helped out, yay.

Good luck to you, and we're in the same boat since I'll hopefully be heading off to Uni in September if I get at least three B's.

Turn off your PC.

That's what I do. I just haven't done it yet despite needing to revise.

It's worse as my PC is at my desk. :(
It's worse that I need to use my computer for my applied ICT (Information Computer Technology) studies course...

I work very fast. I'm also a terrible procrastinator. I really am a terrible example of how one should study on the whole, but I've got a 3.6 so who really gives a fuck.

Basically what I'm saying is that from my experience worrying less is best, but my perspective is very skewed.

Try to man up and kick your procrastination out of the window!

Granted don't spend hours upon hours just by revising alone. You ARE allow to take a break but it should less than 30 minutes so don't abuse the time!

I was confused because I've never heard the term "revision" used. You're reviewing, right?

Pick a quiet place and start reading.

Liverpool University is both my first choice and backup choice since I applied for two courses at the same place. What about you?

Mericans at it again...

Well in the UK we call it revision. Deal with it yo.

Talking about a quiet place, I couldn't do that. I have to have sme music on or I get bored pretty damn fast.
if i listen to music i get way too distracted :L

Remove yourself from the distractions. Go study at a library or a friends house who doesnt have those distractions. Everybody knows at least one bookworm, right?
