Bring back Sim Ant!

There was another thread here that has since been locked, but Sim Ant has always held a place close to my heart. I started a petition to hopefully get EA to do a remake - I miss building my army of ants and taking over the house.

The game looks like it would be a fun concept if executed well, thought the original looks kinda poorly designed and kinda tedious. Maybe some indie company could pick it up? They would give it the amount of effort it requires. EA would probably just stick the C-team on it with a budget of 10,000 bucks.

EA won't really care about this petition even if it does get signed, sadly. A hundred people on the internet don't really matter to them and I don't see this game breaking into the mainstream.

Such a simple but fun game. I remember I could really get stuck into it as a kid.

I don't believe EA can or will even bother with it. Maybe it can be requested as an idea for indie developers instead. I don't believe it really needs to improve in detail a lot. It needs that simple looking charm.

After what happened with Dungeon Keeper, you really want EA to revive more franchises?

I can see it now. "You have ordered your ant to pick up the rock. It will take the ant 42 hours to move the rock, but you can spend $5 to make it happen now. Whoops, our servers just crashed and this game is online only, come back later!"
