Y'know... I've supported a very select few kickstarters I deemed worthy in the pursuit of human interests - like Allison's operation from EC, for example. A ridiculously wealthy man with a business and... all this guy has, and he's going to get a million dollars from people...

I have some student loans that will cripple me for life y'all could pay off if you get to hankering after throwing your money at people. Just saying.
I'll never understand why America works that way. I didn't have to pay a cent for my education (other than travelling there), education should be there for everyone.

OT: Errr no. These well off famous people starting kick starters are rediculas. It's there to help lesser known get off their feet or games from genres that aren't mainstream enough to get funding by publishers.
If I went into it I might lose my cool, but the short answer is capitalism and the tyranny of the dollar.

Kickstarter is there to crowd fund whatever people want there isn't a monopoly on it that only poor people can use it. Do you have any idea how expensive a game is to make?

If freaking Bethesda wants to make a kickstarter and raise 40 billion dollars and they put every fucking cent of that money into making the most gigantic game ever with 10 trillion lines of scripted dialogue, a world the same scale as Earth that has dynamic AI capable of perfectly imitating real people then all power too them. I don't give a crap if they had a ton of money already, all they are beholden to do when making a kickstarter is to at least try to do everything they said they were going to, and to spend all the money from kickstarter making their product as great as they can get it.

Watched Roosterteeth live stream, game looked and played like shit. Considering his recent exploits i would steer clear from this future disaster.

No there isn't a monopoly, but those are the requirements I set when I decide weather to fund a project. Also I didn't say just the poor either, I said lesser know OR games that aren't mainstream enough (eg: no Call of Duty kickstarter). I funded the space game by Chris Roberts, he's well known etc however he's making a game that has next to no chance of EA etc funding it.

Did anyone crack curiosity yet?
no. the current cube has lots of photos from backers and I am starting to suspect that they are just secretly adding more layers to it for the lulz.
Maybe the surprise is disappointment?
