Tam snarled as the chairs and the desks banged off the car. She drove onto the road by an already broken window, and saw Jacob looking at her. She rolled down the window.

"Jacob, you have snapped because I, a little girl, called you a mean name! It didn't mean anything!" She shouted.

Skye instinctively smiled back before she knew what she was doing. She coughed and tried to resume a more stoic face. She hadn't seen very many of the male soldiers smile, so she tried not to either. Then again, June basically told her she sucked at pretending to be a guy anyway. "Yes sir!" she nodded, trying to sound as brave and confident as she could.

Jon watched as the girl's face flickered through a smile, to self consciousness, to attempted military resignation and then to a show of bravery. He felt a mixture of amusement and pride at this example of youth that his work allowed to flourish; if only he himself had had children. But it mattered not, for did not the Book say 'For every man that you save, he is your brother, and every child who is safe by your hand is as your child'. Thus, even a man who dedicated to the King as to have no sons would be the father to a great dynasty of the Faithful. He felt the same joy that the scripture always raised in him, but in his face it became only a nod of approval and second smile

"Let us proceed then, my girl. Lead the way, and show me where you last saw the Eagles"

You have permission to time skip to such a point that we meet Fniff and Jacob

"No... I 'snapped' because I realized I was acting like someone I am not! I will not hide behind a false act, no, I will be who I am... Kick reason to the curb... And go beyond the impossible!!!" He sped up, now entering green territory. "Turn back now, if you want to survive! Continue... If you want to live!!!"

"OK then. Go fucking die, for all I care. That's all you were ever good for." Tam drove off. Originally, she drove thinking that Jacob could be saved. Now, she realized what Jacob always was: A stupid fucker who thinks that the whole world was against him when it wasn't. Tam had a word for those people: Extinct.

She drove off, sighing the deepest sigh.

Skye kept her bike at a steady and more importantly, safe, speed as she made her way back to the farthest she had searched. The last thing she needed was for it to explode while a religious leader was on it. 'Where are his guards or escorts anyway...' In her distraction she didn't notice another bike was roaring towards them. With barely any time, she swerved, almost slamming into a wall. That bike... she recognized it. There weren't many bikes in the City period, but she'd be damned if she forgot the one that belonged to that Red. "Sir Shannow are you okay? I think that was one of the Reds we were looking for..." 'What on earth is he doing so close to green territory???'
should I post 'he' instead of 'she' for Skye just to remind people she dresses like a guy?

"That was..." Jacob looked back. "No... It couldn't of been..." Jacob braked and looked back at them. "Was it? No... Noooo..." He paused for a few moments. "Nah..." He drove on, still thinking about it. Nope, didn't happen... It wasn't him, not even a chance... Right?

"Hold on to your seat unless you want your organs smeared across the pavement, sir" Skye revved her bike and accelerated in the direction the motorcycle had gone off in. She could feel the heat from the engine: the poor piece of junk wouldn't be able to keep up much longer... Thankfully, Jacob came into view, and she eased up on the bike. 'He must have stopped when he almost ran us over...' Pulling out her revolver, Skye fired off a round in his direction as a warning.

Jacob ducked when he heard the gunshot. "Grrr..." He pulled out his pistol in his right hand and blindly fired back, keeping an eye on the road ahead. I do not have time for this... Jacob made a swift turn into an alleyway and turned again on the other side onto another road. Will they follow me...? Whoever they are...

A few bullets whizzed close to Skye as she kept behind the man. 'Damn, he has a better bike and probably can maneuver better than I can with this...' she turned into the alley and came out on the other side, accelerating slightly to catch up. "Stop!" It wasn't really intimidating or innovative, but she was more concerned with the immediate death of this man than with what he would think of her speech. She aimed a bit with her next shot, firing off another single round in an attempt to hit something.

Behind Skye on the bike, Jon's weight shifted almost imperceptibly, and suddenly he was reaching past her to aim with two massive silver pistols, all inlaid with green. Without affecting the balance of the bike, he had reached under his coat, drawn these two vast weapons and was taking aim...

The guns roared, once, twice, three times. The bullets screamed past Jacob, and one clipped the back of his bike.

Jacob thought he recognized the voice and stopped concentrating then suddenly a bullet hit him in his left shoulder. "Gah!" Suddenly realizing he had no hands on the wheel he put his pistol away and grabbed the bike with his right hand in an attempt to drive. But he was going too fast. He swereved at crashed into a nearby wall, flying into it back first. His bike was undamaged, but Jacob was on the floor. "ARGH!!! Crap!!!"
The bullet was Skye's.

Skye sped past Jacob, swerving her bike to a stop several feet from him. She got off the bike and trained her revolver on the man, her aim getting better as she stepped closer, cautious, careful to stay out of his immediate range and within jumping distance of cover. "Jacob Hark?" she asked in her lowered voice. She pulled down the red handkerchief that covered the lower part of her face, wondering if he even remembered who she was. No... she thought. Why would he remember me. Why would he remember any of those men he killed.

"You... You're the one who escaped... Your whole group died, but not you... You were unlucky. I never forget the unlucky ones... They don't stay unlucky forever." Jacob tried to grab his pistols but couldn't, the ensuing pain as he tried caused him to cry out in pain. "You are really really unlucky, aren't you? I cannot save you from this world. For now." Jacob laughed like a madman.

"I'm glad you recognized me." Her hand trembled, and chances were she was not going to be able to kill him at this distance, so she waited. She winced at his pain, and at his crazy laugh. "My whole group didn't die. The other half returned from battle. All of them. You didn't even kill everyone in the group that I was in. Two of us escaped." Adrenaline was making her aim shaky, and she was fighting back tears and the urge to run up and shoot the man in the head a couple times. "Where's the other girl that was with you? Have you killed her too?"

"Hehe... You're scared... Scared of the big bad man... Heh... Good, fear makes it better. Fear pumps the blood. You're shaking though, you don't know how to harness your fear like I do. As for the girl? She... Is not alive..." Jacob smiled. "So you gonna kill me, or what? Are you the one they sent to kill us? Typical, they send someone unable... What makes it worse is that you got me. Ah well, I have no regrets. I managed to live. Have you lived yet? By the way you act, I can tell you haven't. You... You're not even worth being called a Jewel..."

Skye snapped. She ran up to Jacob and fired off two shots into his knees. "You know nothing about me!" She took out her axe, but instead of hitting him with the blade, she slammed the blunt back end into his face. "You want to die... so that's exactly what is not going to happen!" She swung again, determined to make him suffer before she killed him.

shes not going to kill him, but right now she plans to

The enormous lump of flesh shifted its movement, causing a chill to run up Salt's spine and a hand to pull out his gun.

-c-click-

Eyes and the sidearm were trained on the sleeping figure, waiting for it to awaken and the desperate struggle to finally begin... Minutes pass, and he could feel his brow drenched by his own sweat, his heart beating in rapid pace, and his breath held in place out of the sheer tension he felt. A finger wrapped itself on the trigger, poised to fire... More minutes pass, and the heartrate had dropped greatly; his breath was still held in anticipation of the humanoid's actions... Still more minutes pass, and Wilkes began to ponder if he was even waking up.

He sighed. Only way to find out...

With the gun still trained on the form asleep, he made the attempt to sidestep around it. Patience was key, but not quite as size and control; he was six feet in a cramped space with a behemoth in the center. Just make small steps. I cannot rush this.

The first spot to check was the refrigerator; maybe there would be some more rations or water. Grabbing the handle with his free hand, he carefully opened the ice box; the suction in the door made it sound a bit, but the only response it got from the sleeper was a thrash on the floor. Sighing in relief, Salt scavenged the only thing the box contained: a half-full bottle of water; whether it was clean or otherwise he had no idea. Well, there was only one way to find out; opening the container, he took a small sip. The liquid felt refreshing yet sickening in his mouth, but after walking in the sun, almost everything would leave that kind of feeling. He refastened the lid and pocketed it for future use; if it was dirty, he'll know when he starts clutching his stomach.

Next was in the small hallway, but he had to sneak around the body again. Again, he took slow and careful steps to avoid triggering anything that may wake the humanoid... So far so good; he made it to the other room. From there he looked in the usual spots - drawers, bags, cushions, etc, yet the only thing he found was a jar of a sickly yellow fluid which he assumed was someone's urine. All in all, nothing beneficial. But he had to cut his scavenging short with the room; if he tried looking for loose walls or floorboards, he'd surely wake up the behemoth and he'd be cornered. Still keeping his gun hand tightly wrapped around the handle, he made the effort to sneak out.

-BANG- -BANG-

A loud snort was heard, and he felt his skin raise in fear. Immediately, Wilkes removed the clip to check for misfire... No shots from his gun. That was the good news; the bad news was the humanoid was awake. And Salt was right behind him. Desperately he squeezed the trigger twice, and two small chunks of metal emerged from the cylinder and plunged into the back of the behemoth's skull. Painful - lethal even - but the mass just clutched his head for a few seconds before turning his head. Shit! Didn't even go through! Before Salt could get another shot in, the soldier charged at him with the butt of his rifle; the sheer force pushed him through the walls to the outside.

Time seemed to slow down as he was stuck against another house wall; he felt his chest cave and waves of pain in every breath. In this lapse in time, he heard the familiar cl-click of the safety removed; in seconds it would open fire, and he would die from the rain of lead.

"No!" was all he utter from his strained laboured voice. Thinking fast, he took a pouch of drugs and opened it; the inside revealed a white powder. In one movement, he grabbed a handful of the powder and strewn it across the soldiers face...

As time resumed at a normal pace, the air echoed with a bestial grunts and yells. Salt couldn't see the soldier, but if he could guess he succeeded in blinding him temporarily. At this point, the plan was now to hide; if it could withstand bullets to the head, it would be a battle with losing proportions.

The gunshots were from the scuffle between Altruis and the Red Eagle squad he was engaged in.

The Bentley pulled up in front of a new pile of rubble blocking off the street. Angus removed a pen from the glove-box and marked it on the map before exiting the car (Trevor still keeping an eye on every entry point). He scratched his head, causing more of his hair to fall and a few more flakes of skin to vanish, and looked around trying to plot an alternate route. suddenly, a man in a black trenchcoat came riding around a corner on a creepy looking motorbike, occasionally glancing behind himself and checking the rooftops.
"Pardon me, sir," Angus began "but could you give us directions. we're looking for a town, I think it was called Tyreyard last time I was out here and..." a large group of Green Jewels emerged behind him, guns blazing and shouting at the runner. Angus unholstered his pistol, "Oh, not you buggers again! look, I'm just looking for Tyreyard, I don't want any trouble or pointless arguments involving the sanctity of two rather bland crystals." Trevor trained his gun on the crowd.
it seems that you have all entered a paralell universse [i/] in which my character isn't standing in the middle of the bloody street [/i]! This could be problematic for me
