On my way down to New Orleans we passed through the bible belt and one sign had a pair of eyes and it said "Jesus is always watching you" and I looked back as we passed it and on the other side was an ad for a strip club...evidently Jesus is only watching all the heathans who live up North...

In the bible belt in Kansas (anywhere west of Topeka), there is a sign near Abilene that says, and I quote:

"Pornography destroys, Jesus saves."

Less than 50 feet away from that sign was an adult book/movie store.

Thats why those signs are there...Yeah, its still funny, but they are put there on purpose =X

I've never seen signs like these in real life so I can't really comment on these...except that when I was little I thought the "Slippery When Wet" Road Signs of the Car with the squiggles under it, were actually weird box/car things on tentacles. Yeah, overactive imagination >_<

Not really a sign, but I have seen a warning notice on a bus shelter that read "Vandalism is a crime!". Someone scribbled "not" on the sign so now it reads:

Vandalism is a not crime!

Idiots. Giving Grammar Nazis free ammunition since 1990.

Seriously, there was this burger king near my home. It had a sign "Now hiring Closers", But after the "C" fell off it seemed more accurate for a burger king

Sign in downtown Atlanta. That's all it said. No. No symbols, no pictures, no objects of interest around it that might have been crucial to the sign's intent. Just No.

To this day I still wonder what it meant.

It meant, No we don't have enough time to make a complete sign.

Or

No, we will not make a funny sign for you to laugh at.

Someone should start a thread about that sign and all the things it could mean

Not sure if this counts, but a friend of mine has (in his kitchen) a roughly made cardboard sign he found that says "DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE CONSEQUENCES OF DISTURBING THE DEAD?!"


...And underneath that, in different handwriting: "Apparently not."
