Have you ever seen a ridiculously long thread (you know, the ones over 5-6 pages long) and on purpously made a comment that had some kind of troll-like tendency because it would never get seen/you figured it wouldn't?

If so, what was the thread/what did you post/etc?

I know I've done this, but I can't for the life of me remember on what topic.

I think most people have done this. Hell, once a thread hits about seven or so pages, all I really see are one of two things:

People dramatically on one side or the other of the topic, to the point where they're pretty obviously flaming, or people who don't really feel strongly at all and just felt like being indifferent.

I am never one to troll. When a thread has about 7 pages, I usually leave an uninspired mandatory comment or nothing at all.

Maybe on the ExtraCredits vs. Escapist topic, because at that rate there were only 3-4 posts a page, because they were so big.

I've never made a troll comment because I thought I could get away with it. Just never really got the appeal of being a prick for the sake of being a prick.

That's actually exactly why I don't go into those threads, which precludes my going in to troll. I know it's not always the case, but whenever I see a thread on the fron page with 100+ replies I think:"What I wanted to say has probably been said and it's likely turned into a flame-war/pointlessly zealous argument." I find it's best for my will to live to avoid.

I never feel the need to be a troll. Its pretty much the opposite of who I am as a person.

Iv argued with plenty of people, and left meaningful comments despite the length of a thread, knowing it would probably fall on deaf ears. Even if Im outright chastising someone, I do it within the rules of the forums.

Contrary to what it sais under my name, I am not a muckraker [http://video.adultswim.com/squidbillies/a-living-embodiment-of-evil.html]

Nope, never done that before. Although if a topic gets more than 4 or so pages I usually only read the first few pages, then I post what I think, Sometimes this winds up with me posting out of date material or rehashing what other people have said later in the thread. As much as I love to post here I don't have the time to read 5+ pages of posts.
