Rift

So im giving rift a go. i played in the beta and it still looks good. i was wondering whats been going on with it. has the game died off? has a patch ruined the game? anything like that?

Also for people in the know, whats a good dps soul build. like for dpsing in dungeons mainly.

Rift is still going.

Patches have basically made it so that Pyromancer specced Mages have too much burst and survivability in PvP and some broken talents have made healing specced Clerics are very difficult to take down.

Other than that it would appear to be similar to the beta (Though Rogues got some of their DPS souls nerfed)

I'm not too sure about DPS builds (Because I'm a Rogue... and focused more on tanking) though I believe Mages are quite good at DPSing due to being ranged (Some encounters are melee unfriendly) and doing alot of damage... I hear Stormcaller does quite well but again I'm not in the know about Mages, Warriors or Clerics (I just know that Champion/Beastmaster/Paragon is one of the highest DPS specs for Warriors and that Pyromancers are annoying in PvP)

Numbers have dropped slightly on some shards, meaning you have less of the whiney, bitchy players but less players to complete world/zone events. It doesn't cause too many issues and I'm sure it will level out though.

Patching only seems to be making things better imo... with the exception of PvP where there are balancing issues or so I have heard, but I don't play PvP anyway.
