Fellow Escapists today is a sad day for the most lonely animal on the planet or Lonesome George has passed away this weekend. George lived to see the proud age of 100(ish) years.
George was the last remaining individual of his now extinct species, namely The Pinta Island tortoise. Wich is a subspecies of the Galapagos tortoise. But for all of his years he refused to reproduce with members of other subspecies, to the desperation of his caretakers. Thus lonesome George tragically became the only living member of his race.
Without this tragic romantic turtle, the world is a little less bright. George you will be missed.
Oh and for discussion value, please tell how George changed your life. (which he definitively did even though you may not realize it) Or add other tragic animal story's.
My condolences would go out to george's family, but in this case.. ah well you know.
