I've had a man-crush on him ever since he was in "Armageddon".

Too young and too soon.

I'm just a little emotional right now, you guys are throwing all this stuff at me. Can I, like, get a hug from you or something?

I'd prefer that to eating haggis.

I swear that if the story didn't call for him to survive after that line it would have ruined the movie for me.

I just read about this. One of the saddest things, he was a great actor, and had a fantastic screen presence. It's really upsetting to see such great film makers and actors go in such rapid succession.

I was quite overcome with emotion when I found this out. Loved Duncan in everything I saw him in, and he seemed like a great guy off-screen, too. Out of the recent celebrity deaths, this one hit me the hardest -- even more so than Tony Scott, which is a bit of a shock to me.

But I've seen some of his other works, and he always OWNED every scene he was in.

Wow, I'm kinda in shock. I've always wanted to meet him, I shall raise a glass to his memory.

He was part of the reason I kinda liked the Green Lantern film, I loved him as Kilowog.

He and Geoffrey Rush salvaged that film to me, their scenes were awesome.

I heard about this on a plane a couple of hours ago and was extremely shocked. I didn't even know he was in the hospital.

The world really did lose a great person today.

It's a darn shame such a great actor had to die. I loved him so much as "John Coffey" in "The Green Mile". He made it one of my favourite movies of all time. Rest in peace Mr. Duncan, "may God have mercy on your soul".

He's like one of those guy's who'd scare you if he approached you, but you just want to hug him <3

This is the one that bums me out (Most actors dying, it's just, "Aww, how sad, remember what they were in? That was ok/alright/fine/brilliant/exceptional"), because he was a better actor than most, especially to those big actors who act as well as a piece of cardboard, he could be big and muscle-y while having a sense of character.

In this case, it just kind of bummed me out because a truly good actor died. Ordinarily, I could care less, but Michael Clarke Duncan's death just hurt a little bit more than most.

At least he left performances worth remembering, and from what I heard, he was a truly nice guy.
