Rise of the Triad Getting a Reboot

I don't do multiplayer (except TF2, I guess), but that's pretty cool :3

If you don't go for multiplayer (And I can't blame you on that), ROTT was still epic for its campaign, and its weapons. A baseball bat that fires flaming baseballs. Turning into a dog and biting the shit out of everyone. The hand of god, which was Doom's BFG on steroids. Or just the basic guns: Pistol, dial pistols, machine gun, rocket launcher, dual rocket launcher, quad rocket launcher, dual split-directional launcher, heat-seeking rocket launcher, etc...

What about a rocket lawnchair do they have those? (note: I'm pretty sure they don't but damnit I'd mod one in)

The only thing I remember about RotT was picking up a gun and thinking, 'huh, what does this d-' boom firey death ouch ouch ouch. More significantly, the playable character Ian Paul Freely. Heh.

Sounds to me like the only thing that 3D Realms is doing is porting their old games to the iPhone.

RoTT never did much for me. The combat was fantastic but the decision to include levels filled with floating pads, whirling blades, jumping puzzles and other idiocy pretty much killed it for me. I never finished it, and if the remake includes the same stupid shit, I never will.

Considering it took them 11 years to make Prey, I won't hold my breath. It'll be a nice surprise though if it comes out.
