Besides, I have a spot for shitty textures and outdated graphics. Looking forward to it.

It doesn't look that bad to me. Besides, Youtube compression on videos makes everything look ugly, even at 720/1080p.

Anyway, looks fun. A nice fast-paced shooter with unique, interesting weapons would be nice to get again. Of course, it'll probably be overlooked because it's "just another shooter", then people will resume complaining about how Call of Duty is the only thing that ever gets made year after year, then more military shooters will be made because the publishers "need to be safe"... repeat ad nauseum.

I'd love to be proven wrong, though.

The only things that I remember about this game was the bunny sex. No, wait that was Shadow Warrior. Why isn't anyone remaking Shadow Warrior? Or Redneck Rampage? I'm all for reboots of old games, but at least do the interesting ones...

They did many of my favourite games! Too bad some publishers don't care for nostalgia like Agogee

Sometimes this website boggles my mind. Wow.

Looks pretty cool aside from Aim Down Sights (ADS), I just don't understand why it's included. If there's no penalty for not using them then I can't really complain about pandering to the status quo. Perhaps we have a new contender for competitive arena shooter? Is there going to be multiplayer?

I can see this flopping badly, however. Virtually all FPS that aren't COD do.

Why is it that the original games level design doesn't bother me but the new one already looks really bland?

I like the idea of new fast shooters but I wish they would be more ambitious with the design as well. Also, they can make the levels a bit of a challenge to find the right way, or just add in interesting puzzles.

It's technically a new company. The original Apogee sort of merged into 3D Realms in 1996 and now 3D Realms revived it. Doesn't make it any less interesting though, in my opinion.

Edit: Anyone else really loves the captchas that ask you to describe a certain brand in your own words? It's been a long time since I used the word 'abhorrent'.

It's definitely still interesting. I can't imagine why they'd want to use that name in 2012 unless they were interested in recapturing those days. Speaking of which, Telltale's rebooting King's Quest!

When I had captchas, I'd rip the brands apart when they actually asked my opinion : )

I think that they should have come up with some sort of unique alternate fire mode.
