I've had my license for about 11 years now, and I make 10-12 thousand kilometers a year, more or less, so no way am I a veteran driver. But I think I still have some experience out on the road to show, and of course plenty of peeves with other drivers...Such as them not using turn signals. It really gets my goat when I'm turning left and someone zooms in from the opposite direction without a signal, prompting me to stop and let them pass, only for them to nonchalantly slow down and turn left themselves.

Don't get me started on those who stick to your tail, and then start on the horn and the lights while I'm already at the speed limit or slightly over, because they're either in an important hurry, or they just want to show off their horsepowers. I've often contemplated slamming on the brakes in such a case, but, nah. Too much of a hassle, and who says I'd get out without an injury, either. Oh and blowjobs while driving? Yes, it's kinky, exciting, it shows you've got guts, I bet...it's also stupid, distracts, and generally makes you dangerous. Nearly had an accident at one time because of one such show-off...

And, on long drives, I just hate it when whoever is in passenger seat falls asleep, it just spoils my focus; to the point that I ask people if they want to take a nap while I drive, to do it on the back seats. Suffice to say, not all of them were too happy about being sent back there but then I usually use the "you know all the important people take the back seat" card.

And my last peeve, that has nothing to do with other drivers? Parallel parking. Yes, I can do it in my sleep, but the notion of having to navigate the car with barely a hair's width of space back and front infuriates me.

All in all I try to be a deliberate and sensible driver. Sure, I've lost my patience a time or two and hit the horn when someone didn't move immediately when the light went green, but, quite remarkably, considering my usual short temper, it takes quite a lot to make me get angry on the road. Not to say anything about the fact that driving has a therapeutic effect on me and relaxes me when it's just me, music and the car.

How about you?
