I recently purchased the All Fronts GOW pack which includes the newly released chapter Road To Ruin. The mode gives you two options, go in guns blazing (as always) or a new stealth mode, a friend and I thought we'd give the stealth mode a go seeing as it was a new concept. However, after the first ten minutes and a cut scene in which the disguise is nulled, it became nothing more than any other GOW scenario, after which Marcus comments "maybe we should drop the stealth", I THOUGHT WE ALREADY HAD. IMHO GOW should stay well away from the stealth genre and remain its usual testosterone-fuelled-shoot-the-shit-out-of-everything gameplay.

What are everyone elses thoughts on this new stealth mode?

The term "stealth" has been so loosely used in the last few years that it really has no meaning right now in modern gaming. See Thief games to really understand what the difference between an action game and a stealth game is.

I Think its a waste of time. Seriously, if you are just going to add a few minutes of gameplay where you are running around NOT shooting, (In Gears of War no less), then I don't think you should charge us for it.

I admire them for trying to mix things up. Unfortunately I haven't played it to comment on how well it works but from what you have said they probably should have just stuck to their guns (pun intended) and left GoW as a balls-out shooter.
