Hokay, the betting pools are open. Odds are as follows:

100:1 - Jormandgund
52:1 - Atlanta
50:1 - Atlantis
30:1 - The funky pacifist aliens from "The Abyss"
27:1 - Cthulhu
21:1 - Gungans
15:1 - Mermaids / Tritons
10:1 - Elasmosaurus or other "sea monster" style dinosaurs
8:1 - Godzilla
6:1 - Kraken
5:1 - Megalodon
3:1 - Sally Struthers

A bet of $1 earns you $3 if you bet on them finding Sally Struthers down there, a pretty safe bet since most whales have returned to the oceans.
Show me giant world-circle-snake for 200!

(Please tell me this isn't a serious bet and that you won't hunting me down for money later.)

Amazing how alien one's own world can be, huh?

If they find living Megalodons though....I'd think I'd be better off NOT knowing that there's a great white the size of a sperm whale in the depths.

If it's Cthulu chances are the research team won't know and try to wake it up and we'll all die.

I want there to be something cool, but we'd go and mess it all up if we found a new species or race.

Hate to break it to you guys, but I spent years in submarines and 99.9% of what you will find is going to be mud.

I just hope the Robosub doesn't go offline suddenly during its exploration. Because, well, that would mean it did find Cthulhu and somehow woke it up...
