Ok... christmas has come and yet i don't feel it... the jolly spirit and what not... could be i'm 23, just ended with another girlfriend and stopped believing in santa has a kid...

So to bring back the jolly spirit ive decided to venture to my childhood to one of my first and most precious memories and adventures i ever had. To venture within the Mega-Drive (sega genesis for americans) console for one of my favourite games ever. The song, the steampunk feel the amazingness and epicness of that game are beyond belief.

So while i'm venturing in this epic adventure i'll be posting updates of how the adventure is going and what not

See or don't see it, this is like a personnal journal i'm sharing with you guys

Oh p.s.: So far ive beaten half of the first act. I am at the firewall bit within the castle after you fight the giant sea mecha-dragon.

Beaten down that bug-spitting-mecha-pig-snake. Off to save the princess.... till she gets kidnapped by that douche. Smooth move with the mecha-giant-pig-carrier ship showoff.... Off to swim in area 2...

That Blank look sparkster makes when hes hanging by his tail...... shivers down the spine...

Also whos up for a train track level? Love the music on that zone, my fav in the entire game!! (p.s.: don't forget to duck. Have gotten way more rusty to this game then i tought)...

Remembering old enemies patterns is helping me a lot...

*heh chicken house. Those look like poorly drawned chickens just before the boss battle.

GODDAM THIS BOSS BRINGS UP MEMORIES. SO elaborate and so goddam epic!!

Beat the mecha-ultra-incredible-pigsteam-powered-train, and off to the next level. Gotta do a crazy stunt for the freeze screen that appears after you beat the boss!!!

Hate the mecha-pig-ranhas bit with the spikes and water issues....

And to believe that has a kid i had so much problems with the mecha-crab_with_ultimate_death_claws..... Pshhht... beat the right hook and rocket yourself for a easy-win... feel shame kid version of me

Whats worse then a piranha water level? A goddam annoying giant piranha boss.... Goddamit Devligus....

Defeated the pig commanding the bot... or was that a metaphor for me killing my inner red demons, has i am.... the mecha-pirnha, destroyer of families....

Nope defenitly a pig in a mecha. Getting a Gurren Lagann feel. Could i be Lord Genome destroyer of humanity? He did beat a mech with his own fists...

Beeing greeted by Princess Sherry... oh.... some Gameboy Mario nightmare going on here... Also... first boss reminds me of Ocarina of time ganondorf tennis match boss....

Riding the carrior and feeling the.... HEY STOP TRYING TO IMITATE DONKEY KONG YOU PIG BASTARD!!! YOU'RE A PIG NOT A GORILLA... YOU SHOULDT EVEN BE WEARING HUMANS CLOTHES IN THE FIRST PLACE.... OR RIDING EPIC MECHAS!!!

I see Axel and the princess... at least i saw them before the snot broke down...

Beaten down the.... hulla... dancing pig... energy belly beam... betty? Yeah i shall call it betty. Also... killed that annoying piguy... Bad pose for freeze cam... drats...

Chasing Axel to the pig_empire... Devilontindos Empire? Devotrondis? Devolvipigtindos? Devotindos? Yeah Devotindos Empire i think....

Goddam... that city... looks so goddam scary. So powerfull... can't help to notice the destroyed part in the background, makes me wonder what happened. Somekind of nuclear destruction? A failed experiment? An invasion? Why do these pigs hate us aniway? Are they all evil aniway?

So getting the story staright. There was a death star looking magic that got defeated by.... something... that something was sealed and only the princess knows the location. Theres a rocket knight guild to protect her and the secret location and Axel went all Judas on us, by joining the pigs.... Is this right? Think so...

K, deafeated the star wars looking walker now invading!!

Goddam Mecha-Indestructo-IronManPowered Pigs..... HATE THEM... THey look pretty goddam epic tough so i can't hate them forever!!!

Also... Pigs mastered lasers and rockets and what not, and they equip the mecha-pigs with clubs..... huh... i... fail to notice the tactical logic... Well better not think too hard on it, cuz considering the bastards they are they would only make the game way harder...

HAH BOWSER BRIDGE TRAP!! Why did bowser had something that would ultimatly defeat him aniway? And he does it in every single mario game. Does he think it will someday work on defeating mario or something? Goddamit Bowser i love you but you're an idiot.

Some trippy ass spike-balls zone... hate it..

Yo Sherry i was in the neightbour hood and decided to save yo Leia Ass from that Pig Jabba Looking deuche... Prepare to taste my blad.... and he's leaving... and the princess has given me infinite rocket powers... goddamit... well here we go..

Retrying the Vanguard-Death space ship... goddamit... the transforming part sucks... this guy is worse then a final fantasy boss... he just won't die, and keeps returning with a new form...

Also this ship gives me a heavy warhammer 40k feeling!! The design is incredible!!

BEGONE FOUL DEMON... defeated the mecha-nightmare. Off to the Death Star in Stage 7!!

Hate this boss... it's a easy fight if you get the timing right...

Oh... spoilers... the pig was a terminator all along... Arnold Pignazzer...

Oh gosh the amount of unfair damage the boss makes...

Ewww mass producing Devligus himself. So are all pigs robots? Cuz the first invading pigs in the first level look... biologic and not mechanic...

´Defeated Axel in a long and epic sword clashing battle.... till he decided to cheat with missiles... also... why doesn't my jetpack does half the stuff his does....

Small gem area for jetpack practice.... ok... timing is essential... if only Sparkster stopped freaking out to each time he falls... YOU'RE IMUNE TO FALL DAMAGE AND HAVE A JETPACK!!! STOP BEING A SILLY POSSUM!!!

That pig achieved internet status..... jeloussss.....

Beaten the InternetPig? ..... Time to blast off... GETTING TO ESCAPE POD!! PEACE OUT HOMIES I'M OUT!!!

Ok... defeated my arch nemesis and the traitor that injured my... adoptive father, defeated the pig Emperor Devligus, and destroyed the Devotindos Empire, saved the world and destroyed the death star and saved princess Sherry. All is well in the kingdom. Don't need reward. The adventure was my reward!!

And so my adventure ended... feel much better. Tired has hell has well, saving the world can drain ya energy like that. Time to sleep and await for my next adventure. Dream on Sparkster.... The Rocket Knight!!!!

For some reason I preferred Dynamite Heady. I played them both but I could play DH many more times.

Err I think this is more appropriate in the User review section. Yes I know you're not reviewing it but it kind of more like a let play which I have seem in that section of the forum.

Anyway I played the sequel (Sparkster) on the Snes and it's one of my favourite games.

I prefer RKA myself, but they're both fine games. I never got to play Dynamite Heady as a kid, though so I've no nostalgia for it. I only got the game very recently. It's still pretty great, though.
