It'd be 3rd person all the time,you could still roam around freely and it wouldn't have half as many bugs as the current game has.

Yes. Yes there is! Game is just a pile o' crap once you scratch the surface! It lags like hell even when I max the settings to their lowest and um... *embarassed* I managed to seal myself inside one of the vaults... 106 or 108 I think... Sooooo many bugs >.<

Two things, first of all, hypothetical questions aren't meant to have real answers, rather to induce conversation, and contemplation. Second, you are automatically assuming something simply because of your own personal bias, since rockstar has never created an rpg, one they made could be terrible, or it could be amazing, but its impossible to judge. Trying to judge something that does not exist is foolish and pathetic.

Your argument defeats itself. He is giving his opinion about what he thinks it would be like. If a developer with no experience at RPGs made and RPG, he thinks it would turn out badly. Don't get upset just because he doesn't hold the same view as you.

I don't think it would be as good, Bethesda has the free-roam RPG almost down to perfection. I liked Fallout because it was not an FPS, I was never a huge fan of GTA. Also considering I play on the computer I would get completely shafted with a buggier game that would run worse because of poor optimization. Also, without the GECK much of the game's value would be lost.
