Does anyone else still enjoy a good rogue-like RPG? You know, games like ADOM where graphics are reduced to simple ASCII characters and every action has it's own button? Game where instead of intense skill trees aren't used, but in return, you get more classes than in a contemporary style RPG?
I personally enjoy them over most modern RPGs because they get closer to the old days of Dungeons and Dragons, where the plot was your own invention and your characters could do whatever they like.
If you do still enjoy such games, which ones do you play? If you don't enjoy them, what are they lacking? would you like to see any elements of the game-play style integrated into modern RPGs?

My brother plays Rogue and Dwarf Fortress, which he swears by.

I prefer my RPGs a bit more story based though. The best RPGs IMHO, should be ones that give you a good story and setting, but allow you as much freedom as that story/setting will allow.

Given how much technology has advanced, you would think they could make a rogue-like RPG these days with half-decent graphics and a ton of different possible choices. Daggerfall was pretty close on some levels, as was Fallout 2. Now if you could combine Daggerfall/Fallout2/Rogue that would be awesome.
