ROLLERCOASTERS!!

Fun right? I'm going to Fiesta Texas tomorrow, (if you don't know what that is; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiesta_Texas) and I plan on thoroughly enjoying myself on the several rollercoasters. Which I love.

I remember my first rollercoaster. The thrills, G forces, screaming (not mine of course, the fat lady's behind me). Good times.

So Escapists, got any good Rollercoaster memories? Even if you're too afraid to ride them, any theme park memories you'd like to share?

I remember riding the California Screamin' at Disneyland. That was my best memory. It was really fun.

I remember the Rocking Rollercoaster from Disney World and how my dad slid into me and nearly pushed me off the damn ride and into the oblivion below the track. Still fun though.

Mm, the Mind Eraser and Sidewinder at Elitch's.

The Twister II is another fun one, if only because you're totally terrified that the rickety old rollercoaster is going to shake itself apart mid-ride.

I love Rollercoasters.

I don't have any cool memories though.

I don't scream on them, i brace myself and lean forward most of the time, though if one is really fun ill start laughing.

I hope you have a good time!

I'm actually not such a big fan of rollercoasters since they make me sick, but I like all of the ones at Disneyland! (Shut up, they count.)

Ha that's nothing..you want some Roller Coaster action come to Cedar Point here in Ohio.

Back on topic, I can bring up two cool memories both of which took place at the aforementioned park. The first being on ride called the Mantis in which the rider rather than sit in a sit is forced to stand on a small bike seat shaped support. Being a man this was rather uncomfortable and during one the loops the seat was thrust upward into the groin region and this hurt. After the ride i remember going to the nearest bathroom facilities checking the area for anything unusual.

The second being on another ride called the Gemini where two carts full of passengers would "race" against each other. However with the people i went with we decided to play a fun little game of toss across where if the cart would be in proximity to each other the players would toss a stuffed figure between the cars. Such fun that was until we lost the plushie.

There's one called The Behemoth at Canada's Wonderland. As my friend and I got in, we sort of looked at each other and said "what the fuck did we just get ourselves into?" We then proceeded to hum Ride of The Valkyries on the way up, and shout more curse terms then I have ever done on the first drop.

It was awesome.

I'm terrified of most of them. Around where I live we have an amusement park called Kennywood. There's a ton of roller coasters there, but I only ride the 2 smallest ones.

One memory I have is when I first got out of the first one I rode, I was really dizzy and fell on the floor after taking like 4 steps away from it. lol. It only happened that one time though.

Love Cedar Point!

Millennium Force and the Maverick are my all time favorites, but all the coasters there are great. The Dragster would be my favorite if only it wasn't so short.
