Szia Escapistak!

I'm feeling pretty great about life right now (not that its any less confusing) and for some strange reason I think that I will learn things from watching Romantic movies.

So I ask you, What are the best/your favourite romantic movies?

(Romantic Comedies count)
Go!

Zack and Miri make a Porno - A chick flick for dudes.

Didn't really "learn" anything from it. But I can emphathise with Seth's character a lot.. beard, glasses and being in the "Best Friend Forever" situation.

Uhm... I haven't seen many purely romantic movies, but a lot that had really high amounts of romance. White Christmas is pretty good, it's a musical and is actually pretty witty at times, and has a really great romance plot (which is a pretty huge part of the plot). Another one if you're into suspense as well is Charade which also stars Cary Grant (not as much romance, but it's still in there. And did I mention Cary Grant?).

Gone With the Wind is the only one I liked. After that I'm back to watching Taken and Black Hawk Down.

White Christmas is my favorite Christmas movie, well actually it's tied with Love Actually (another amazing romantic movie). But my favorite romantic movies are (be warned I am a girl, so I actually love romantic movies and some of them may be sappy!):
10 Things I Hate About You
You've Got Mail
Romancing The Stone (older but still great!)
The Notebook
Ever After
27 Dresses
Enchanted
First Knight (action and romance)
Hitch
Mamma Mia
The Princess Bride
The Scarlet Pimpernel (It's old and obscure, but I love it anyway)
When Harry Met Sally
While You Were Sleeping

Sorry I know it was long, but they are all awesome! I'm sure I could come up with more if given more time! Enjoy!

Sex=/=Love.
We're talking about the Titanic >_>
Besides, berethond just said he liked explosions and bodies and those tend to be R rated movies, unless I'm mistaken.

The Dark Knight.

That really isn't true. There are some great R rated movie about true love, and there are some PG 13 movies that have relationships all about the sex. It totally depends on the movie, not the rating. R just means they show more, or they swear more, or a ton of people die. All depends on the movie!

Two words, Moulin Rouge! Its my favorite movie! and its got everything anyone could want, Nicole Kidman for the men, Ewan McGregor for the women (i.e. ME) and midgets for the children! Who can't get behind a story about a brothel and a bordello, even if the actual Moulin Rouge isn't. Goodness I love that movie. Twilight was alright as well, in a tweeny kind of way, it was also laugh out loud funny in an accidental kind of way. I also loved the books.

They may be about true love, but there will be a gratuitous sex-scene somewhere in the movie. Its effing' hard to get the r rating, see the dark knight.

To fullmetal: I think somebody having their stomach blown up while hes talking about pretty lights is much more creepier then just a body. Oh yeah, and a pen going through a guys eye, somebody being burnt 3/4ths to death.. I can go more..

I would like to take this chance to say that the rating system makes no sense.
No, it doesn't. The MPAA probably got de facto-ly forced into it because it was such a big title.

Also, Bullet, I don't remember someone having their stomach blown up.
