I'm curious whether other people around these parts see the kind of cliches and tropes that exist in romantic comedies (the Tsundere female protagonist; will-they-or-won't-they; eventual slap, slap, kiss sequence, as one possible arc) as realistic, or at least possible.
I'll own up to this and say that part of it is that I'm living a situation which may be of this type, which got me wondering if other people had this kind of experience. I'm fairly convinced that this is pure animosity (without any romantic underpinning), but it's an interesting question nonetheless.
So, have any of you had a romantic comedy experience (either having taken an idea from a movie, or lived out a plot that seemed similar), or is that kind of stuff about as realistic as watching two giant robots beat the stuffing out of each other?
Addendum: I'm not looking for advice or commiseration, just to see if other people have seen these tropes play out in real life. Additionally, do you find yourself classifying situations and people based on movies (not necessarily romantic comedies)?
