Romantic Fails

I am currently in one. Well, sort of. Half of me is. Ish. And it is a complex issue I would rather not go into.

Though a friend once did something I found very amusing. Since he is not very comfortably socially, he sometimes does things a little odd. We were speaking, and he said, "I want to spend some more time with her." Then he immediatly walks over to the 'her' and then says "I want to spend some more time with you.
So very blunt, and so very amusing. I do not remember what happened after that, it must not have been as funny.

Hehe... mine is an actual folder on my hard-drive. It's mostly just god-awful photos that I want to keep around for the sake of recording history, but Never look at unless I absolutely have to... Almost like a reminder not to repeated the fashion mistakes of the past. I once went on a date at some concert with my face all done up like the Crow.

I've had one romantic fail. I've never really wanted a relationship per se, I've been more into having lots of guy-friends and having sex with them from time to time.

But I fell in love once with a random guy that nobody else cared for. I tried to drop hints, but he wouldn't take them. And I tried being his friend, but he didn't really want a friend and as it turned out he didn't really want sex or a relationship either. At the end I got tired of his "hard to get" attitude. And then I moved to a different country, leaving my friends and my friends with benefits behind. I still talk to him on msn, though. But I don't miss him as much as I miss my friends with benefits.

But I would consider that a fail.

Don't worry, I reckon most of us have still been there. It's that frustratingly fine line between coming on too hard, and not coming on hard enough... You want to be nice to them so they'll like you, but not So nice that it's creepy - or that they just think you're a friend.

Chances are it went badly because of your mindset rather than your appearance. Girls tend to be more forgiving when it comes to looks. Don't give up just because a few knocked you back, it's their loss.

Here's one!:

I started liking this girl in like early 6th grade and liked her all the way in to mid 7th. So when valentines came around I bought her flowers and waited. I had them delivered, and because I heard she was wondering who sent them, I told my only woman friend at the time to tell her it was me. I talked to said woman friend at the dance to see what she (the girl I liked) said when she found out it was, indeed, me. My friend told me "She said, 'Oh, that's great', in a very sarcastic voice".

Nope. She weighed about 400 pounds and literally smelled like shit; I suspect she wasn't able to reach her ass to wipe when she went to the bathroom. The following exchange ensued:

Me (wondering at this point if this is the world's worst hooker): "Look, I'm going to say this nicely. If I have to say it again, I won't say it nicely. Get lost."

Once I met this girl at my uni's orientation day. I asked for her number on the day itself and chatted her up and soon enough we were chatting online almost every night for two weeks.

Eventually we got to know alot more about each other and she even started telling me more about her provocative side and vice versa. Our online conversation once went all the way through to 4am.

So after 2 and a half weeks I thought we had something going on seeing as how our conversations got pretty intimate at times but never any "I like you"'s. So I brought her aside one day and told her directly that I liked her and she literally distanced herself away from me and told me no and that she already has a boyfriend (???).

But yeah I dunno how fail that is but it felt really bad lmao.
