RP game based on Lost?

I just had an idea for an rp game based on the tv show Lost. I figured it would be accessible to a lot of players who would take on the characters of various survivors who have crashed onto the island and would allow a lot of depth as players can have a fairly large backstory that can be described through player flashbacks as the game progresses. Timeline wise I guess people can play as survivors alongside the main characters in the tv show or players could have crashed at a different time than the ones existing in the tv show.

I'm a bit lost (ignore the pun) as to what storyline such a game would have so I'm seeing what other escapist members think of having a game based around the show. I myself am not particarly thinking about starting up such a game as I am new to the forum and have no idea about how to go about running an rp game but I thought I'd share my idea with you all incase someone wanted to start up such a game.

Figured it be a blast for all you Lost fans out there.

Please discuss and feel free to start an rp on this if its any good.

Hmm, I'm not too sure, it would depend on how much the games master (or whatever they're called) would want to include elements of later seasons. I guess if certain elements were explained sufficiently people who haven't seen the show should be able to grasp it as long as more complicated areas are avoided perhaps.

I guess having an rp based on a number of people crashing on an island (is that what you mean about similar concept?) would still be kinda interesting even if it wasn't related to Lost but I'm having trouble seeing what events could occur that could keep players interested apart from the general survival theme.

Well, I don't want to be putting words into your mouth but yeah, that is what I meant by the concept. Also, all the weird stuff, just not exactly the same ones as the program. Again it's not really that important to me, as long as you put some thought into it, I'm sure it will turn out fine and I'd be totally happy to participate.

I wasn't exactly thinking of running the game myself as I'm new to the whole rp thing so I figured I'd just share my idea incase someone else fancied doing it.
