I want to make an RP thread... but it seems like alot of work.

its not that i cant write a good scenario, its just that idk if i can get enough time to do it... I mean its not like most threads where i can just post and let other ppl do their thing.. i have to go back and give the required feedback...

is there anything i can do to get one going without too much time waste?

I've never been a fan of forum games. not enough immersion.
It shouldn't be that difficult to run one. not as difficult to run a normal rp game like D&D or Exalted.

Well, sometimes RP threads that get going can actually manage themselves if you create the setting well enough.

While i got this thread going i should ask for ideas for a setting... I'm leaning towards a future, one that is unknown but you suddenly wake up in... but any fresh ideas are welcome

If you ask nicely and the scenario is good I'm sure you could get somebody to host it with you. That way you won't have to input as much time and with two hosts it's much more likely that one will be on when it's time for the story to continue.

Well, my first RP thread (which is still in-progress) was made with a co-host in mind (which RAKtheUndead thankfully provided), so you could always so that sort of thing. Otherwise, there have been numerous attempts at RPs that are self-sufficient (although I do not know how well they have gone, as I haven't been keeping tabs on them), so the idea itself isn't impossible, I suppose.

Ultimately, though it does require some effort. My suggestion would be to join a pre-existing RP, to see if you can keep pace, and then learn from there. Or, with some luck, you get a fairly slow-going RP like mine that's been in-progress for several months now, and still going strong, albeit slow.

Also, echoing conquerer kenny's suggestion, and picking up a co-host or two.
