I got the RROD about a week and a half ago, and I shipped the console back. It still hasn't gotten back yet. Is it normal to take more than 2 weeks? Or is mine just taking forever?

I would say normal.

They will have around 200% more consoles to deal with that will be Christmas prezzies that died on or around Christmas time, probably as soon as the poor suckers plugged it in. I had one shipped just before Christmas and it never got back until about the 8th of Jan.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, i dont want to start a new post cause i know ill just get told to buy a PS3 but i just got the RRoD and im half way through both gears 2 and fallout 3. It was only a matter of time, i mannaged to avoid it longer then i thought at least

Mine took 2 weeks to get back when I got a RROD last summer. So its about average. Usually they send you an email saying when theyve repaired the console and shipped it out.

As for the poster above, when you send it back you take your Hard Disk out, consequently none of your saves are lost. You'll just have to wait untill its repaired to continue playing which does indeed suck. :/

Its normal, and it SUCKS!!!!! I got RROD 2 and a half weeks before a gaming torny I was going to. I got it the 5 hours before the tourny took place!!! Microsoft has a sense of humor aperently.

Mine took 4 weeks but I sent it in a week before Christmas, so they may have just been busier.

Microsoft states several times in their emails and whatnot that it's usually at least 2-3 weeks.

The last time I sent mine in, it only took about a week or two. However, the first time I sent in my Xbox, I think it was about one and a half years ago, I got it back two or three weeks later, which sounds okay, until I plugged it in and instantly recieved the three red rings. That pissed me off immeasurably. I sent it in a second time, which took two weeks, and it thankfully came back fixed.

Moral of the story: be prepared for it to have not even been fixed in the first place.

only time i got one was when i ejected a disc at a silly time but that was my fault and not it breaking
