Despite it's issues I actually liked the game APB, as did a couple of my friends who grouped with me frequently. Unfortunately, overall, I think this game was viewed very negatively and got poor reviews, leading to poor sales and a lack of subscribership. RTW -the developer- now seems to be under what I assume is the UK's version of Chapter 11, to gain protection from it's creditors.
That has to be some kind of record... is that 1 month? 2 month? I don't think I've ever seen a game cause a game studio to go broke so quick. I guess you can't say they didn't give their all to the game. RTW says the process will not impact the game; however, you know updates will now be rare as money is tight. All the employees who aren't laid off are probably abandoning ship like it's just be torpedoed and the subscriber game reaper it's preparing to pull the plug on the servers.
