What is the rudest thing that you've done to someone while gaming/someone has done to you while you are gaming/just because of a game? Either in a game itself or IRL, how rude are you when you play?

For example, I once played FFX for about 2 hours straight, grinding in the Sea of Sorrow, when my little brother tripped over my PS2's power cord. I yelled at him for 5 minutes and then stormed off.

That's about the rudest thing I've ever done to someone while playing a game (or rather, because of a game). I'm interested to see how much rudeness people have experienced while playing games.

I played like a ***** with grenades in the Halo: Reach beta. That's about as bad as I ever got. I never even t-bagged anyone.

I'm not rude to people, but I get angry and throw controllers. I stopped playing Madden because of this (game is bullshit anyways). I guess I've called my friends lots of nasty words, but it's in a joking manner. I'm not rude to people on Live though.
Madden is just random bullshit, not competitive at all. I've been called ****** more than I care to count, however. Xbox Live is stupid like that.

I've done something similar to you. I think a lot of us with brothers have gotten into fights over losing a game. I can remember my brother beating me up because I kept being cheap on SSB (ironic) Don't worry he's obviously a lot better now.

If someone insults me or whatever I'll generally belittle them, but they provoked that.

I can't think of anything off the top of my head, but I'm sure I've gotten angry at games in the past if I died or something and lost a lot of data...but wouldn't exactly call that "rude".

I've teabagged people, but that's hilarious (honestly, I've nearly been in tears before whilst doing it, I find it that funny), not rude.

Once on CSS though, I challenged a guy to a knife fight since we were the last two in a round, but when I dropped my gun I did it in the air so that I could catch it again and shoot him. I think that's basically a war crime in CSS.

I don't think I've ever been abusive to anyone. Apart from the aforementioned sex and war crimes, obviously.

Ooooh, no! I've forgotten my finest hour! On Left 4 Dead 2 I'd gotten majorly fucked up at the start of the last campaign, so was low on health, and my other team mates had all healed and picked up the safe house medpacks too. I must have asked 5 times for someone to heal, but no one did, so I waited for one to run out of the door, he got caught out by zombies, and then I shot the other two in the back whilst he was getting fucked. All 3 were down, I teabagged the living shit out of the ones I'd shot in the safehouse (tee-hee), and then I disconnected before they could all vote to kick me.

Its called co-op for a reason, bitches.

Maybe if you're ten.

I'm mean to my teammates in League of Legends when they do things that are completely idiotic. Things that there is no excuse for, of course, such as trying to down Baron in a close game when we know it's warded and they're all up.

I get angry at games (then turn them off) quite a lot, and if I do, I may be a little grumpy to other people afterwards. But I'm never straight-up rude.
I don't really talk to people online (except people I actually know) either, but for some, reason, when I do, it stops me from getting angry.

Now I think about it, I do remember getting really angry at a friend when I was about 10 because he completely obliterated me in a game of one of the old FIFAs.

By the way, that's weird and a little creepy. I've just got a mental image of that, and it just isn't right. Teabagging is just annoying and immature.

It's mainly my brother which brings out my rage in gaming, especially with the most dreaded phrase 'It's only a game' it's just patronizing and annoying. Doesn't happen often though.

This, but I don't just teabag randomly. If theres some annoying person in the lobby then I'll make them my primary target in whatever game and teabag any time I kill them.

Also, that is funny as hell.

I swear and ragequit when people are being assholes to me.

Their own faults though, to be honest, because if people aren't being utter wankers to me im an angel.

Well I tend to do it to either a friend or someone I've been competitive with in the match, and this one time (just edited this into my original post but you didn't see it):

"Ooooh, no! I've forgotten my finest hour! I was in tears then too. Choking on them and my own laughter in fact.

I don't play online and I often play alone. Sadness.
I can however, contribute this!

I have some examples...

1: I was once playing splitscreen SW: Battlefront with some friends. One of my friends got in a ship and said "come here and we fly together". I procceed to go to the ship and just when I was about to get in he just left. I got super mad, like he had just betrayed me. Looking back I realise I overreacted and that was really rude of me.

2: I was in this internet clan with a bunch of people... there was this young lad, about 15 years old, with a REALLY HIGH PITCH voice. Nobody liked him for some reason. We used to kick him out of parties when it was full and we needed room. I feel really bad for him now, he was a nice guy and just wanted to get along. We were such dicks with him. Well he doesn't have a high pitch voice anymore and we are actually friends now. Everything turned out better :)

My little brother is kindof the opposite. He NEVER swears online...like ever. And he's really into all the CoD games. I'm actually quite proud of him for that.

Most of my online games come from Valve and I don't really get into a lot of rude situations thanks to a combination of mostly mature players and a mute button.

I don't really grief or get angry while playing online. I'm usually pretty laid back.

The only time I've gotten angry is when someone wants to watch me play a game, but they keep talking (about nothing in particular) in my ear during the important parts. Especially during cut-scenes. I don't mind when you watch me play, and you give helpful advice at appropriate times, it can even be fun to have someone else helping you on the side-lines! - but damn it, stop talking when they talk! WHARBLGARBL!

Rudeness towards me.

Was on MW2 (yeah it's gonna be about racism), and i was casually chatting with some bloke, when he asked me if i was black in a sort of weird tone (i'm not). I replied "well what if i was?", and he said "you better fucking not be, fucking n****r apes". Quite shocked, I criticized his use of wording, and he went mad, calling me various colorful names, mostly implying that i prefer anal sex from African Americans. So yeah, he was rather rude/racist, whatever you want to call it.

That's not rude at all. He should have been more careful, and he shouldn't have been walking behind the PS2.
True, but afterward I thought about it and it seemed like a little bit of an overreaction.

Well, I was playing on a Counter-Strike 1.6 server running a warcraft mod, and we figured out how to drop orc grenades at spawn.

Thing is, you could also buy a mole item which allowed you to start in the enemy base.
So, during the 'buy time', I would be able to suicide, drop an active orc grenade and wipe out half the time before they could even move.

...good times.
