The goal in this thread is to find parodies of childhood things you like and have a good laugh of them.

For example, mine would be thomas the tank engine and recently I found this video.

Post away and it can be anything from video to fanfiction or a picture.

The first song I can remember enjoying, like on an understanding and audio level, was Def Lepards song "Let's Get Rocked".
I loved this song. Whenever my parents would put it on, I'd run and jump around the room and generally act crazy.

Realizing later on in life just how TERRIBLE that song is was enough of a childhood ruiner for me.

I used to love Def Leppard when I was a kid. When I was 16 I finally had a job, and one of my first cd's I ever bought was their greatest hits, and then I hit play, and then quickly realized my mistake.

I think there oughta be a warning label on these, "Warning: Will not sound as good as when you were a kid"

I don't know what you're talkin' about; I'm 25 and I'd never heard this song before, and it was freakin' awesome!

Anything that came out of Robot Chicken...

Seriously, they know how to parody my childhood in ways I never even thought of... It's both applauding and sometimes disturbing to me... (And I fucking love it...)

Other than that... Really good porn parodies of sitcoms I used to watch with my grandma... (It's more conflicting than I'm willing to admit right now...)

Only thing I can think of would be Sagan om de Bannlysta, which is a Swedish Lord of the Rings parody. Wouldn't exactly call it a childhood movie, though I was 10 or 11 when I saw it on the cinema, so close enough.
Unfortunetly I could only find one video of the first part with an English sub... and it's fucking awful. The translator is probably 12 years old and the English language doesn't do much justice to the Swedish slang used, so I doubt it'll give any laughs to non-Swedes. :(

The entire thing for intrested Swedes. Worth adding that if you didn't see this when you were a kid odds are you'll find the humor lacking. Just watched it through myself for the first time in many years and it was worse than I remembered.

That Thomas the Thank Engine video is absolutely awesome.

Anyway, the best I can think of is Robot Chicken's Toy Story 4, and another Thomas the Tank Engine one (helicopter is the best bit):

Pardon me while I go find youtube videos that ruin Duck Tales, TMNT, and Spiderman.

Okay, so I was going to embed these videos but realized posting them here might actually get me in trouble. I'm not sure how Escapist mods feel about drawings of animal dicks for the sake humour, so I'm going to err on the side of caution and just tell you fine folks to go look up "Scientifically Accurate Duck Tales/Ninja Turtles/Spiderman" on youtube of your own accord. As mentioned earlier, drawings of animal dicks do eventually pop up in each video, so you might not want to watch any of these at work. Just sayin'. I mean yeah they're videos on youtube so it's nothing pornographic or anything, but still.

Yeah...after she'd finished working on "The Land Before Time", and before it hit the cinemas. By the time anyone saw it, she'd already been killed.

I think Robot Chicken did it best when they had Megatron fire his gun and his men looked at him oddly.

I really don't know if I can put anything here. Most of the cartoons I watched as a kid weren't really that good to begin with (Pokémon, cough), or I've simply forgotten. The movie that I remember most from my childhood is Disney's Hercules, and that's already kind of a parody of itself, so it's kind of hard to take the piss out of it. Perhaps one such case would be Quest for Camelot, which I actually liked as a kid. And then I watched the Nostalgia Critic review of it.

All that, and simply because I've been on the Internet for long enough to have all my childhood memories ruined.

Transformers being turned from an excellent kids' show to a collection of pee jokes. The old G1 series holds up pretty well if you ask me. It's the modern big-budget adaptations I dislike.

Good 'ol kym. The day isn't complete until I've checked the ruined childhood gallery [http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/ruined-childhood/photos] for the lastest traumatizing content. Speaking of which, GTA San Andreas mods seem to be a good source of childhood ruining content
