Danzig - Mother

That song came on the radio this morning and I had to turn it off.

I was listening to that song while I was kissed for the first time. Now every time I hear it I think of that moment.

His mouth tasted like hot onions
so much saliva
His breath kept fogging up my glasses
sandpapery beard stubble

**shudder, gagging**

I don't think I'll ever enjoy that song again.

Does anyone else have songs like that? Songs you once liked/loved, but now can't bear to listen to because of a bad moment?

Feel free to share your misery.

The Smiths - how soon is now.
F**king tatu covered it.

Don McLean - American Pie.
Madonna.

GNR - Sweet child of mine
Sheryl Crow won a grammy for that cover.

The last two are pretty well known, but the smiths one hurts (

Rick Astley, "Never Gonna Give You Up". Not that it was good in the first place, but now it has become an evil meme and a means of harming others over the Internet.

From all of Russia, I wholeheartedly apologize for this musical disgrace of epic proportions that calls itself "Tatu".

I can't listen to Nirvana anymore.

Every moron I know listens to them.

So I became the music snob I am today.

"What, what do you mean you haven't heard of Einsturzende Neubaten?"
I hate "Smells like teen spirit" after it being overplayed. When it came out it was overplayed, after it came out it was overplayed, now when people want to give examples on great songs the overplay it. I haaaaaate it now.

While I'm also sick to death of Nirvana, I have found a place in my heart to love the rick astley/nirvana mashup. For some reason, even though I hate Smells like Teen Spirit now, that mashup makes my brain happy.

EDIT: Obviously I don't type fast enough :)

Sorry :(

To more seriously respond to the thread:

It was nice. And then I left. On a jet plane. And now it's rather upsetting.

THAT makes me cry.

I stomp around my house daily singing "Weil Weil Weil". ;-;

Nirvana haven't affected me in years. I was in high school when Bleach was released and this indie-listening friend of mine copied it for me to try out.
Once, Nevermind came out it all went downhill.

Literally down once that rifle was fired. :D

It's so beautiful...thank you.

ETA: Now all we need is a remix putting the words of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" to the tune of "Never Gonna Give You Up".

Now that I think about it, "Come Back To Me" by David Cook. And yes It's romantic reasons. I'd forgotten about it til now, I don't have the song and don't listen to the radio often.
