I'm not saying either are better, don't care.Abandon4093 said:A 2006 model 60gb was not shipped with 3D. Add to that the tons firmware updates that PS3's have been through in the past 5 years.CaptainBlahBlah said:Microsoft laughably claimed in the past that the Xbox already did proper 3d (of course nobody in the media would dare point out the falsehood of this, as magically advertising dollars dry up if anyone would dare criticise anything Xbox). They also know that Xbox consumers were too stupid to question anything, and just blindly believe everything Microsoft feed them.

Secondly, this is only really partial catchup with the PS3, as clearly the Xbox still won?t do Blu-Ray, nor 3D Blu-Ray.
The reality is, Microsoft know their potential ?new? user-base has all but dried up, and is basically relying on feeding the channel with incremental hardware upgrades that force Xbox owners to continally upgrade.
In all the time I have owned my lauch 60GB PS3, that?s always been bang upto date, poor Xbox owners have had to rebuy the following upgrades to stay current, and even then, they still don?t have Blu-Ray (perhaps next year ? eh Microsoft?)
1st upgrade HDMI
2nd upgrade Sled HDD upgrade
3rd upgrade Working system
4th upgrade slim
5th upgrade 3D (games only)
6th upgrade Blu-Ray???? (== PS3)
Perhaps by the 6th revision, they MAY have caught up to the spec of my 2006 PS3.
Now before you rant. I own both a 360 and a PS3. And a gaming PC whilst I'm at it.
Each console has it's own advantages and being a blatant fanboy about one is no better than being a fanboy about the other.
Blue ray is a nice addition I'll grant you. But it's not a necessity for a gaming console.
And yeah, Blu-Ray isn't a necessity.
But to defend Blu-Ray for gaming, is that it holds more. Wich is very handy. Take FF13, 1 disc on PS3, 2(3?) discs on X-Box.
Needing to stop a game and insert another disc is deffinately damaging for immersion.
