Rumor: Apple could be thinking about buying EA and sony

I can't help feeling nervous at the idea of large corporations growing larger.

One fairly inconsequential software company buying out another is a fairly meh move. Apple buying Adobe though would be a game changer, Adobe are the gods of multimedia; a field Apple excels in. If they stopped shipping Photoshop and the like for Windows it would basically give them a monopoly in the field.

Even worse, it would force Microsoft to make their own attempt at the Adobe Creative suite, and it would be terrible!

They've reportedly got a lot of debt-free spare cash, whereas Sony reported another loss not too long ago.

Actually, at least as far as Net Neutrality is concerned, it's pretty much just the FCC that's the good guys. So we're even more screwed, since at least if it were up to Microsoft they'd get something done.

Can they even afford that? I mean sony is a BIG company with it's own vision, ethos and independant traditions. Same story with EA, why would they want to be part of the apple family? Wouldn't that mean they would have to shift their entire focus? I don't think either company would be bought out under almost any circumstances, especially by a company such as Apple. I just don't see it. At all.

Apple has 51 billion in cash right now.

Are you kidding me? The Walt Disney corporation is literally one of the most powerful companies in the world. I'd put about as much stock into Apple being able to buy out the Disney corporation as, say, Apple buying out Microsoft. It won't happen any time soon.

I'm pretty sure Sony is worth approximately 3 times as much as Apple. This is so very close to impossible.

imagine the next generation: A white ps4 incompatible with most software and costing £1000. A wii with slightly upgraded graphics And maybe shinier for all the children who buy them, and amicrosoft xbox 720 since their the only console that offers hardcore gaming deliberately ramp up rrod/disc scratching.plus motion controls for everyone one of them.Time to become a pc gamer./rant
