If Apple acquires Sony, it's the last time I'll ever own a Sony item. Ever. I'd go back to PC gaming solely. Apple is by far, one of the worst tech companies out there.

Seeing how Apple is one of the leading companies in technology and they make millions, "claiming" that they are one of the worst tech companies out there is ridiculous. I think it's more likely to be the other way around. Apple has recently applied for patients for 3D television technology, it wouldn't be a far stretch for them to buy Sony, a leader in television production, to help with this process. Just wait for a big Iphone looking TV called the iVision or some shit that will cost $5000 for a $1500 just for a slightly domed back that you never look at.

And it won't support digital, or something.

Maybe I'm just reading peoples posts wrong, but I get this overwhelming feeling people think Apple would just...get rid of the staff of the company they buy and replace them with apple drones or something. Like I said, they ARE that rich, but they have never purchased a competitor. It's not what they do. Look at this:

See any direct competitor companies? They aren't into big, earth shattering deals. They buy parts to put up numbers like this:

Macs sold 4.13 million units during the quarter - a 23 percent unit increase over the year-ago quarter.
iPhone sold 16.24 million units in the quarter - an 86 percent unit growth over the year-ago quarter
iPad sold 7.33 million units during the quarter.

Tim Cook said they would have sold more if they were able to build them, hence the investment in supply lines.

Plus Sony is worth WAY more than $50 billion, more like 80 to 100 billion US Dollars.

This is utter nonsense. Apple MAY be able to AFFORD buying out EA games but it's no where near that easy, the company would have to accept the offer.

Sony's total in assets are worth roughly a hundred billion if I remember right. The article author also seems to be forgetting the economic climate. If Apple were to buy out EA and/or Sony and then the market collapsed a la 1980s, it would likely put Apple into an irrecoverable tailspin resulting in the entire company going flat broke.

Did you read the short article? It specifically points out that Sony is worth less than the $51 billion. Estimated value is $40 billion.
