You know what would be funny? If this WHOLE movie is going to try to be like a live-action Animatrix with an even less cohesive narrative than Batman: Gotham Knight...
I can see it now, Batman and Superman trying to out-do each other with stories from their crime fighting past. That might actually be kind of interesting to watch rather than trying to find some way to logically have eight hundred different characters show up in a meaningful way.

In theatres Summer 20XX. Batman v Superman: Short Story Showdown

That's not Doomsday in the accompanying image, that's Equus [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equus_%28comics%29].

EDIT: It's been fixed.

Well here's hoping to god they give him a post credits sequence et al and his own film later on. Anything less is just an insult to anyone who takes even the slightest interest in the canon. Although it has to said at this point that my interest on any kind of Justice League movie or Bat vs Sup 2 is being tainted rather by the horrible mess happening with this one.

I hope it'll be better as a finished product - but I'm not holding my breath.

Also appearing Krypto the super dog and Batman's goldfish.
You know, if they confirmed that Krypto was going to be in it, that would probably give me quite a bit more hope for this movie. It would be the first indication that they're doing anything other than doubling down on the relentless grim seriousness of Man of Steel, if nothing else.

Plus, how can you not love Krypto?

A thousand "lol's"! Actually, this could be the new Big Trouble in Little China; so batshit crazy that it may be quite an interesting watch.

A Superman film with Krypto done right could be kind of cool if it was done in the same style as Grant Morrison's All-Star Superman. Really embrace the big, bright and bold style of the golden age with the warmth and charisma Christopher Reeve brought to the role. If we had that, a Batman and Superman film would be so much better because of the contrast and it would make the moment they stop fighting each other and team up so much greater.

I don't have anything against Doomsday, but I think he works so much better in a bright and shiny world then just another grim and dark force of alien destruction in a world still reeling from the last grim and dark force of alien destruction.

Damnit! Thanks! Fixed it. I honestly didn't know since they kinda look the same and I'm not a fan of Superman (comics) at all. xD More of a Batman fan through and through.

Someone stop the rumor bus, I want to get off!

Is there going to be a SDCC panel for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice* this year? Or is DC/WB going to skip it? There needs to be some massive clarification with the production of this movie or this ongoing parade of bullshit and casting extras is going to kneecap any remaining goodwill they have with fans.

*[small]Ugh! Just typing that makes my brain hurt. Or perhaps that's due to banging my head against my desktop.[/small]

You can't not love Krypto, but I was of course being facetious.

Methinks movie #2 in a rebooted franchise is a bit soon to be pulling a death-and-resurrection... Let alone in a movie that's already re-introducing Batman and Wonder Woman.

My guess is either that Doomsday "appears" in the same way that Galactus "appears" in the Avengers, or he never appears at all.

I can also see HISHE having a MASSIVE field day with just that concept alone[, obviously]... Also, how did DC convince Scorsese, Tarantino, AND Anderson to direct at least one of the short stories Batman and Superman say to one another? They must have really <link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2GHXKYKKi4>spared no expense within the grand scheme of things...

I know, mine was a rhetorical question. Although on the question of Bat-pets, I would definitely be up for an appearance from Ace the Bat-hound or even... BAT-COW. Yes, it's real.

While I would love to see a Superman/Doomsday movie done right... this is most definitely not the way to do it. This monstrosity is going to be a train wreck.

There is too much going on in this movie for it to not turn out as a mess. If they plan to do to Doosmday what they did to Bane (I love you Tom Hardy but you're no super powered luchador)...
I'm going to set something ablaze
I'm going to break many big things
I'm gonna rage to the heavens
I'm gonna cry like a hurt puppy
I'm going to be very disappointed and not give you my money.
