I'm getting impatient over Skyward Sword. Miyamoto said to expect the game to arrive at the start of this year. Well, that has passed. Seriously, what is going on with this game? They just tell us ambiguous updates ("it's half finished", then "we're almost done").
Welcome to the good old world of what Nintendo used to be like.

Does nobody remember that Ocarina of Time on the N64 was announced in 1995, but not released until 1999?
And it's not like they didn't say along the way that it was 'nearly', only to delay it again for a year or more...

Nintendo's modern release schedules are a miracle by comparison.
It doesn't help that Skyward Sword is pretty much the ONLY up-coming Wii game that isn't some casual party shit or a compromised port.

I suppose The Last Story... but then again there hasn't been a good jRPG on a current gen consoles, ever. Unless you want to go to a huge stretch and call Demon's Souls a jRPG.

Doesnt everybody already have a Wii to use as a bathmat?

Oh well, looks like i might be tiling walls with them now.
I wiped my arse with mine. Of course, I had to use toilet roll to clean up anyway when I sold it, so it was all a bit of a wasted effort.

Honestly, you try your best to help the environment...

Ah, well.

Right now would be the perfect time to announce a new console since all the competition stated they will not do another console anytime soon. Going by Moore's Law Nintendo should easily make a HD Wii with graphics in between an Xbox 360 and a PS3 for roughly $250 so they can get all the PC ports and if they figure a way to legally knock off the Kinect they are golden.

I'm starting to wonder if they are holding back Skyward Sword for a new home console. I've been defensive Nintendo until this past year, when the only game I played on my Wii was Galaxy 2. I'm not going to buy the next Nintendo home console until it gets at least a dozen games I'd play on it. They still do handhelds better than anyone else, though.

I would have thought that sales of Wii's are declining because 98% of the worlds households contain a Wii at present!

Don't they also have a new Kirby game coming?
Yes and it has Kirby in a cowboy hat. BEST KIRBY HAT EVER.

Nope, the Wii is my most used home console as it has the best games. Moreso once Dragon Quest 10 and Last Story come along.
I thought the joke was about how inexpensive they are compared to the others (particularly at launch).
OP: Meh. Still not getting one. I already played the one exclusive I was interested in (Muramasa: The Demon Blade) at a friend's house.

Probably because their competitors never seem to 'get' handhelds. Sony clearly 'gets' it better than any prior company, for the mere fact that their handheld range hasn't collapsed in on itself like every prior non-Nintendo handheld has. (Assuming this isn't just due to having near bottomless pockets)

If you want to figure out what people want out of a handheld, look at what the PSP manages that prior competitors to the Gameboy & DS fail to do...
