This was last year's news... that video you're linking is a heavily edited lie. The kid egged the Pro on, made some jokes about doing bad things to his grandmother's corpse or some such, and then the Pro gave him exactly what he deserved:

Wow, what a massive asshole. Granted, a lot of context was stripped from that video (we didn't see most of what happened immediately before the ban, I mean), but I don't know what context there could be that would make it so he DIDN'T abuse his power. Looked like he banned him just for saying that he would make that video.

How about this context?

Granted, the quality is so bad that you can't see which player is actually saying that, but whoever it was surely earned a temporary ban. Game mods plus talking about having sex with someone's grandma? If I was a mod in that match, I would have banned whichever player was saying that stuff too.

Oh. Well, there you go. That kid definitely deserved it. Don't know about the other guy who got banned (the one who made the first video, though the fact that he cut out the context is kinda telling), but that one is pretty clean cut.

Granted, the grandmother kid definitely deserved it. He should've been banned just for playing CoD. Takes a special kind of person (and by "person", I mean a word I'd get banhammered unto eternity for using here!) to get banned 35 times. Especially given the amount of asshattery that goes on over Xbox Live on a daily basis...

Oh yeah I remember that. Its the one where the kid shouted non-stop profanity, constantly threatened people, and modding(or, you know, hacking).

His ban was well-deserved. And if it was temporary, he got off easy. If you tried that on any of the servers I usually play on(on games with multiplayer servers of course), he would have been permanently banned instantly.

Account bans range from 24 hours to a perma-ban.

Console bans are always perma-bans.

Whoops didn't see the console level bit. Some 14 year old out there has really stupid parents with way too much disposable income.
