Wait, there are PC gamers who bought Gears of War?

I thought they only existed in the same way Unicorns and God exist, no-one's been able to effectively prove they don't exist yet...
No, my best friend bought it, played it and immediately regretted it. The last I heard of his copy of the game, it was making a good table not wobble. Something about bugginess and general crap game...

I played it for 5 minutes before returning it and demanding my money back.

As a PC Gamer, I'd like to say that this is the worst news I've had this year. It's truly saddened me to the core.

Oh wait, of course it hasn't. Because Gears of War is terrible.

I'm still glad I sold my 360.
You completely summed up my thoughts and the thoughts of every PC Gamer out there, you win.

That's not fair, there are good console type games like DMC4 that are fun on the PC and have good ports. Gears of War, on the other hand, is a repetitive boring tech demo.
Pardon me for saying so, but I didn't like DMC4 as a port.

Capcom always seems to do Horrible ports, Name one good port (not game-wise, Port-wise). I was horribly disappointed with RE4, even when I got a mouse aim patch I still had to deal with Badly compressed cut scenes, The mouse aim still couldn't aim properly (it still had the same mechanics).....O.k ill stop, But the point is i don't like Capcom anymore -_-

DMC4 is easily better than RE4 but so would eating out of a toilet Most PC games don't have the option to select the transparency multi/super sampling AA from inside the game it even supported Dx.10.
Defo needs a 360 controller to play but I had one anyway also DMC4 even had the legendary darkknight mode added to take advantage of more CPU power to increase the enemy count I also liked the fact that my 9800GTX had tripple digit average framerates

At least EPIC are true to their word when they said there would be no PC version.
and it's gonna stay that way.

The two 360 games that keep getting rumors saying they are coming to PC, seem to be Fable 2 and GeOW 2, and there is now way those are coming to PC - ever.

If you don't like DMC4, that's fair enough, but to say it's a bad port is just wrong. It's a fantastic port that's been well optimized to the PC experience, Capcom really stepped up to the plate on it.
RE4 has a very bad PC port, as does DMC3, but those games were ported by Ubisoft, not Capcom. Capcom got lazy and handed off the port to somebody else, and it shows in the final product.

Lots of gamestores take pre-orders for games that do not exist.

On my local gamestore, one has been able to pre-order Duke Nukem Forever for the last 3 years...

I just started playing gears 1, & i must say. but I won't say it so blatantly.

There's just no feeling that you're using anything stronger than a BB-gun when you shoot the enemies, even if you hit them in the head. They keep moving without reacting to any shots, & even though the medium difficulty (forgot its name) says "You know how to score a headshot" in its description, you die way too easily, & headshots don't do ANYTHING, not even in "casual gamer" difficuty :S

you're CONSTANTLY just hiding & shooting around/over corners. This wouldn't be SO bad if you can run&gun when you really feel like it, but you get shot up pretty easily. Anyone complaining that this is realism will have to show me photos of their roid-pumped muscles & some monstrous creatures known as locusts. Also, it's almost comical how you shoot around a corner, hide, then pop out again only to find the enemy right in your face.

Maybe it's just the fact that I just finished Dead Space (has its flaws but is pretty fun), but I feel like I wasted a month of my time trying to get a game that I definitely will be removing immediately. Hmmmm, what to install next...

Opps I think I might have meant DMC3 :)
I think I just disliked DMC4 (I only played Demo) because I didn't like shooting a dude 50 times before he died -_- lol

Oh noes, oh noes, oh noes ... [hug prototype] ... oh noes, oh noes, oh noes.

Sorry, but for those posts above me, Capcom did improve with it's port. The DMC 4 port was flawless (although I didn't beat the game, yet), the little I played (completed Nero's story) was not filled with control issues like a certain RE4 had.
