I'd run gladly through any real life zombie apocalypse when Morgan Freeman is the narrator ^^
And as the man ran from the spectral ghosts of humanities sins, he realised that Morgan freeman was an awesome choice for narrator. then was eaten by the defiled.

"I figure you either get busy running, or get busy being eaten."

Hi guys - one of the developers here. Our game is very different from the Android one you mentioned, which not only doesn't have missions, but it doesn't have any story or base management strategy, plus it requires people to be watching their screen all the time - hardly safe if you run at any speed.

We've also decided to *definitely* develop an Android app, for release a little while after the iPhone version. We'd always been planning to do this but we weren't sure about the demand or timing. Clearly we were wrong and there is a ton of demand, so we're making it!
One question, does it need to be connected to the internet during the game? I ask because I'm interested in getting this but I only have an iPod, with Wifi, no 3G capabilities, so no connection if I'm away from a hotspot at any point :(.

Edit: My bad, I was wrong. However, there is a game called 'Zombie, run!' on Android, and it has indeed been out for a long time now, so these guys really are taking the mick with the name, not to mention the fact that they've ripped the concept straight from it and only added 'missions' and a story. The basic premise is identical though.
It is possible that they came up with the idea and didnt just rip it, I myself make games, program them myself and quite often your idea is already done and on the rare occasion done really well, its not always a blatant rip but just a coincidence :/
That is indeed possible, but the fact that their title is only a letter different from the existing game doesn't sound like coincidence. Heck, it even has the same punctuation. I mean really, the original is called 'Zombie, Run!' and this one has the same concept and is called 'Zombies, Run!'. It looks way too similar to be coincidence.

Fair enough, but might I recommend that you consider a less similar title (ie, not nigh on identical)? The current one makes it look like either the same game or a blatant rip off. Regardless of whether this is true or not (benefit of the doubt says not), I would imagine you probably don't want people to think that.

This looks pretty awesome. I need an incentive to start running, and this looks like a great way for me to start! Can't wait!

I had one like this a year or so ago on my Android phone. It was kinda fun when you're walking through the city. You need a friend to join in so you can laugh at what you're doing together, it's much less fun alone.

Or the narrator from Bastion who has nearly the same voice as Freeman and he tells the story of your great escape

He would be so calm that you would forget that there were zombies and therefore forget to take steps against them, thereby getting killed.

Having BRIANBLESSED yelling at you, on the other hand...
