Spent endless hours playing this when I was younger but I haven't got a clue why or even what I spent my time doing. Though the phrase "the wildy" still fills me with apprehension

I think I might be one of the rare people who have never played this game. Though it was most likely because my parents didn't buy a computer until I was a sophomore in highschool because they though it was a passing fad, and around then World of Warcraft rolled out.

Wait, I don't understand. Is anybody implying that there are, somewhere, gamers who haven't at some point spent at least 5 minutes on Runescape?

There are a whole lot of us, in fact. By the time RuneScape came out, I'd already been running my own MUD for several years and was a good deal older than their target/typical audience. I've always had a bit of an aversion to running stuff in my browser too.

Played it in grade school, thought it was the shit.

In hindsight it is SO incredibly shallow in every facet. Technically, writing-wise, game play-wise, visually, SO SO shallow in every single way.

So, isn't counting inactive users kinda sorta completely and utterly cheating insofar as defeating the purpose of counting your users since inactive 'users' don't actually 'use'?

aah runescape. I remember that. I have some fond memories of that game. Also some very bad ones. It's very basic and i don't really plan on going back. So much grind... and i really wanted a cannon. never got a cannon.

I played for a good few years. I got rather bored eventually.

Was fun playing with friends.

Runescape probably dominated my 3rd to 5th grade years
then my family got the original xbox.
So i dumped all my in game shit in the middle of a town and i haven't played the game since.
