Now... Runescape is an free to play (f2p) online mmorpg that takes place in the world of Runescape -.- i know...
The game features you and about 1,000,000 other main protagonists who are trying to master the world... i know it sounds ridiculous but it's a fucking mmo...
Not to the plot, you start of on an islands called The tutorial island, thank you for pointing the obvious out Jagex... then you finish the tutorial and get teleported to Lumbridge castle to do whatever the fuck you want...
Like quests and grinding and... that, there is also a pvp section but that is as broken as a xbox 360 elite one week after you unbox it... for instance, the fist of guthix game mode is a 2 vs 2 arena battle. The objective is to either carry a stone to the middle of the arena and hold it there for a period of time, the longer you hold it, the more points you'll get. Or you may just stand on the side an be a pussy, it will not be as rewarding as standing in the middle but it will still give you points. There is also an attacker in the game who's object is to kill the stone carrier. Only problem is... you will never, NEVER be in the same battle as one of your own level. For instance: once when i was playing Fist of Guthix a level 14 mage or whatever got in the same battle as me, I one shotted him and he had to take an hour to kill me.
And then there are the quests, witch are the only successful thing about Runescape. There are about 150 of them but apart from the WoW kinda quests these are actually immersive.
There are about 10 to 200 stages in the quests and some of them are extremely hard and will take about a month to complete.
To be honest i've never had so much fun grinding in a game as i've had in Runescape... Every 4 minutes a afk bot pops up and teleports you to a random location where you have to solve a easy task, if you win you will be rewarded with awesome "special" gear... and then there is the failing part... some are nice, some are just a living hell... sometimes you will be attacked by an unstoppable chicken -.- and at other times you will lose all your equipment and what ever you have equipped, yeah and there is one that will kick you in the balls, rape you, steal you money and dump you in the wilderness only to make you walk your way back home.
Now on to... whatever i would want to talk about next... GRAPHICS!
Runescape looks like something a 3 year old girl would make on her pre school art class, hm... come to think of it that would be a very talented 3 year old... right, back to the topic. I would not call Runescape ugly, wait i would... but not counterstrike or Brothers in arms, Hell's highway ugly but more of an missunderstood kid without an face ugly, you want to hate it but you can't because it's cute, in a bizarre disgusting way... Imagine world of Warcraft, on the lowest resolution, good, now pour salt into your eyes beat yourself with a baseball bat in the back of your head. now there is Runescape.

I usualy listen to some music when i am playing so... Yeah Bloody Beetroots are rather good.

The free to play part...
Now there is a catch with the "Free to play" thingy... you see the game is not free, the game is a demo and you have to buy the game to get to enjoy it... and by buy i mean the old fashioned mmo greedy-evil-conspiracy-Tom Clancy/George Lucas style of buying something, by a monthly fee... OF TEN DOLLAS! Witch is not a big. But i still hate it because i would like to have something to rant about...
