Ruse beta

so everyone got the ruse public beta on steam. so i looked at it and i like the concept of the game with diversions and decoys on a large strategy battlefield. i also liked the touch of the background becoming your war room with a giant table when you zoom out. all in all the gameplay looks intriguing. wanted to know what other escapists think of it.

also something else ocurred to me. forgive me if the answer is common knowledge or anything but having a public beta like that seems like fantastically good advertising if ALL steam users are aware of your game and check it out. how much would it cost ubisoft to get steam to send their beta to everyone??

I quite like it, but it took me a while to figure out what I was doing with the different units and ruses.
I like the ruses, though find the usefulness varies.. the decoy attacks are possibly the best as the others can too easily be countered. For instance, you get notification that your enemy has entered radio silence, or used camouflage nets. I've only played with up to three players this far though.. I suspect with more people, it would be harder to counter as you wouldn't know who had just camouflaged etc.

Just a shame it's Ubi.. I'm not buying anything of theirs right now -.-
