This thread is for the appreciation of Russian firearms.

My personal favorite is the Nagant revolver.

A silenced revolver will never stop being cool to me.

Also the Mosin Nagant rifle is quite good. It rarely jams, served from the 1870s through World War 2, it is one of the few rifles where saying its ammo is held in a "clip" is accurate, and it is just a damn fine looking rifle.

What are your favorite Russian firearms?

edit-

And the woman looks alright as too.

Mosin Nagant is pretty awesome. I however have my heart set on one day acquiring a deweaponized AK-47 to hang on my wall. Seeing as having a real one wouldn't really fly here in Canada.

And can tanks count as firearms? Cause I would kill for a T-34-85 as my legal form of transportation.

A man can dream.

I love my Nagant 91/30, and I love my Nagant revolver. The only thing I don't like is that the revolver has a ridiculous trigger-pull. Seriously... It's like 8lbs!

That's something I love about the UK. If you can drive a car, you can drive a tank. :D

The Nagant is a lot of fun to shoot with friends. However I use my AK regularly for hog hunting and occasionally for varmint hunting. I don't know if I just got a good one, or the "AK's are inaccurate as all hell" hype false; but, I can shoot a 1 inch grouping at 100 yards with my AK all day long.

My next project is to buy another Nagant (I already have 2 [1943,1944 receiver markings]) from post WWII (as to not destroy any collector value) and refinish/restore it, add a scope and use it as a hunting rifle. I'm thinking about a nice blonde finish and repaint/finish the hardware to black.

You can always move to the USA if you want a really working one.
But yeah. A deweaponized AK-47 would be pretty cool. And hey, who knows. You guys might be getting rid of your long gun registry. Who knows what the The Right Honourable Stephen Harper will do.

OT: Aesthetically, I'm a big fan of the AK-47. I also like the Nagant M1895, and I someday want to include that in my collection.

I've got an old SKS that I'm rather fond of. But if we're going tanks, I wouldn't mind a T-50 to go cruising around in.

I WAS gonna make a joke about a guy with his arms on fire, but I couldn't find appropriate picture.

So I'll just say the AK-47.

I have a Mosin Nagant... stamped 1936 with the hammer and sickle, I'm pretty sure the guy that used it was killed because it is one shitty rifle. Perfect working order but kicks like a mule, not enough powder behind the heavy round (I use old soviet ammo, it too is shitty. Picked up one round and the projectile fell off :p), the action needs a lot of muscle to work (the palm of my hand is always bruised the following day).
Fun rifle to shoot though, wish the sights had a windage knob.
Everyone has a Mosin Nagant they only made 37 million of them. But yeah I would say you are mostly right.

It's mundane equivalent to wizard wand on the steroids. ;)

Also it seems that i can't find sh*t about anti-tank sniper rifle.

EDIT : Can't find sh*t about Degtyaryov A-T sniper rifle...
Edit : Close enough...

Edit : Here it is :)
http://carthage-must-be-destroyed.blogspot.com/2011/01/totally-awesome-person-sgt-yakov-pavlov.html

In short - Sgt. Yakov Pavlov was the first man in the history that combined PTRS-41 rifle (similar to this above) with sniper scope and he f*cking sniped tanks and bunkers with it. If such weapon is beyond appreciation then i'll take an arrow...
