Wasn't the blogger, was the attacker who launched the massive attack - some idiot who couldn't stand the idea that this guy from Georgia had a different opinion to him, probably, and felt he had to punish the website owners as well as the blogger
Funny in a depressing way...

But hey, why would Russia care? The Georgians can whine all they want...so long as they don't decide to actively seek secession...
Ha, yeah - its not like the USSR are still around and Georgian's a client state....oh wait... ;)
Then Putin calls in the cavalry...

When they make C&C Red Alert 4, I want these!

Considering they took down two or three of most unimportant sites on the net, I'm not seeing an actual problem here.
Agreed. I never really liked Twitter, it seems so uninteresting. Everyone, news stations, celebs, etc all are going crazy for a instant messaging system that is like AIM / MSN / Texting. I approve of the hack then!

The Irony is that they conducted this attack in order to silence this guy and instead they have let everyone in the western world know about him and made the guy an international cause celebre.

Georgia 1 Russia 0 methinks

I know, right? That was the worst backlash a hacker could have happen to them.

Please do it again, but only to Twitter. The reactions are hilarious.

So you think he hacked himself in order to gain massive publicity? Or are you saying that Russians Hacked him with the intention of silencing a man by giving a direct interview to every major news orginization...

A plan devious in its intricicies

Usually I would be like
Yes, please take twitter down!!

but Resitance in Iran is pretty much fueled by it. so for that one case I´d spare Twitter, this time.

Yes,the hacker is probably nationalist. It's lovely how things always backfire for nazis. He wanted to silence that guy,but instead gave him free publicity... Ah,the delicious irony...
