Alright different question(adapted cause I completely forgot about the Steam discounts, Shadow of Chernobyl and Clear Sky, Shadow of Chernobyl and Killing Floor, Or Clear Sky and Killing Floor?

Both of them are decent games, but I honestly don't know which to recommend. Clear Sky greatly improved upon the original in some areas, but introduced some things I absolutely hated.

I'd say get whichever one you feel like.

Buy both from Steam. You will pay 7 Euros or something for both games. So no reason to not get them.

Also though the issue with killing floor is that I would have no one to play with seeing as I don't know anyone with Steam.

The first was much spookier. But the bugs. Oh god. The bugs. Clear sky was a vastly more stable game that was also much better looking. Almost as spooky, but not quite. Both are good, and both will hand your ass to you on a silver platter numerous times.

SOC is a god damned masterpiece. Clear Sky kinda lost a lot of what made SOC so incredible.

And my opinions about Killing Floor are easily summed up by this:

Get SOC and Killing Floor. Thank us later.

I played SoC with this mod [http://www.moddb.com/mods/stalker-complete-2009], and I found it better than Clear Sky, so get SoC and that mod, if you don't want the mod, get Clear Sky, but that mod is seriously awesome, it's like the original game, but more, with improved graphics, sounds and all.

From what I'm reading, a large number of people say that CS is mostly a rehash of SoC with even more bugs than the original.

There's tons of Mods available for SoC, and right now it's two dollars (American). Trust me, it's the one to go with.
