I did... and then I wept like a menstrual onion.superdelux said:If you thinks that's sad just watch Assassins Creed: Embers.NinjaDeathSlap said:Ezio/Altair's final scenes in AC: Revelations. Overall probably the poorest game of the series (although still really no worse than mediocre), but those last moments with Ezio. So sad.
Yeah, I used a wrong term therewintercoat said:They didn't "part ways". They were ripped apart at the last second when finally, finally they were together again. I have never cried as hard in my life as the moment Simple and Clean starts playing and their hands are pulled apart. I went on youtube a couple months ago, looking for the ending and i was all "nah, it's been, what, 8 years since I last played Kingdom Hearts? There's no way-Oh, god, the feels!!! Red Dead Redemption
Death of John Marston. Say what ever you want about mr. Marston but for me he is one of the best video game protagonists ever. I really felt sad after he died.
Kingdom Hearts
Sora and Kairi parting ways at the end when Simple and Clean started to play. Oh the sorrow when I realized that the great game was over...
Never in my 26 years has a work of fiction effected me like the first Kingdom Hearts did. And I've read and watched some pretty sad stuff before.
Yeah I didn't discover she could die until my second playthrough.odBilal said:You know you can save her, right?Imthatguy said:Failing to protect Faridah when she gets shot down. Never even gives a hint shes about to blow the chopper-jetthing
For some reason when I was a kid a was really anal about protecting my army it gave me great micro but when a heavily armed convoy that you sent to rescue a few troopers on the other side of the map gets ambushed and destroyed it really hit me hard.
Fuck yes it is! Combat was so much better in the first one than the others. Blocking, dodging, countering, all were more intuitive. The worlds were more fleshed out and weren't just boxes you fought heartless in. That was my biggest gripe with 2. You can argue that the portable games were limited by the hardware they were on, but the smaller areas in 2 had no excuse. Damnit! Now you've got me wanting to play it too!Hawkolf said:Yeah, I used a wrong term therewintercoat said:They didn't "part ways". Maybe I should have actually played Revelations and Brotherhood. These actually seem like semi important plot pointsKenuZ said:Lucy was a traitor. In "The Lost Archive" Dlc you read that she was a traitor, and she was with the templars. Also, it was Brotherhood ^^.
the portal 2 ending was beautiful.neonsword13-ops said:The main character dies of exhaustion after learning the meaning of life.
1. Nanako's death
2. The train ride back home after the real ending. Teddie's monologue was a killer, too.
John dies. Now you have to play the rest of the game as his son! Enjoy! :3
And the Portal 2 ending.
the music, though, is what got me. the sound of those pianos with the sudden brass that represented the reapers shattering the peace was so phenomenally put together, it will probably be remembered as the best choreographed sad song in this gaming generation, even without vocals. what it represented spoke better than any person could.Ghonzor said:That was when I become emotionally involved in ME3. Metal Gear Solid 4: Big Boss's death
Which one of Nier's endings? They all tore me up inside, but Ending C whenAurora Firestorm said:Metal Gear Solid 3's ending. I cried throughout the entire end sequence. I mean, seriously, they *made you press the button.* They did. And it was *so sad.* I get little shivers of despair just remembering it.
Nier's ending, holy cow. After the second-to-last boss fight, it was tears all the way through the end of the credits. I couldn't tear my eyes away from the screen.
Birth By Sleep had a pretty harsh ending as well. You knew it was coming, but still...damnQuantum Star said:The ending of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days puts the ending of the first game to shame.
You have to fight and kill poor Xion who's now following her original "programming" and turns to crystal and disintegrates in Roxas's arms as she tells you just how much your friendship meant to her. To twist the guilt in even further, not only does she just die, all of the memories of her die along with her, (long story) so Roxas and Axel, her only friends who swore to remember their friendship, will forget she even existed at all. She ceases to exist in the truest definition of the word and the only one who will remember her is the player.
God damn...
